He is new to blitz.
Long explanations will just overwhelm the memory and thus lose all the information they were given.
Keep the tips short and simple next time.
What works for others might not work for him.
The best thing he can do is to just pick the right talents he thinks is right for him.
All Q’s have a reasonable time.
Even if its one hour it is completely okey as Blizzard has given us the chance to Q for other things aswell.
Raids, normal bgs, skirmish, 2v2, 3v3 and everything in-between.
So spend your time doing it while you wait for shuffle/blitz.
If you sit inside a city staring at the screen waiting for shuffle/blitz to pop of course your going to have a bad time.
That’s what I exactly do.
I’ve had people write in /instance go cap lighthouse in gilneas or go cap the base in eots but I didn’t go there as I want to go wherever I think works the best for me and my team.
And then I would get complete rage whispers from entire team…
To begin with as a new player he should not be focusing on objectives.
He should focus on learning basic damage rotation and do maximum damage.
Your advice is upside down… How is he going to win at the objectives when he doesn’t know how to do his damage rotation?
You win the match even if all of your team mates don’t do anything.
If your good enough you can carry your whole team even if you were the only one doing the objectives.
Are you confusing blitz with epic bgs? There is no Q synching in blitz.
Irrelevant, you have a habit of talking down to people, it would be ideal if you stopped with that behaviour, if he is curious about trying a new bracket, the least you could do is provide him with some modicum of respect and orientation instead of dismissing said individual.
The best thing he can do in Blitz is to dish out as much damage as possible.
Also whenever he sees a lone healer traveling from point A to B just stop the healer and slow it down.
In this season it is important to get a hold on a healer especially if it is a decent healer as they stall games.
Getting a hold on a healer usually results in enemy team wiping.
This is the best advice I can give him and I really wish him good luck.
Yes and no, not all classes are solely designed to top the damage meters, you are thinking like a marksmanship hunter when everybody plays a wide variety of classes and specializations, some lack in damage, but can still play a huge part in the team’s success.
Naturally, but remember not everybody has the same capability to stop a healer unless you have a lengthy range as of a hunter, or the control of a Deathknight may have, yet alone when trying to stop a healer mounted up.
Yes there is little point in picking a talent many high rated players run if it doesn’t suit one’s playstyle at all and results in worse performance, but if you spec into perks that provide little benefit while leaving super important talents unpicked, that leaves room for improvement.
Most popular talents are picked for a reason and at least worth considering.
Being at the right place at the right time is more important than being good at fighting.
Fighting 5v2 to cap one base in blitz Arathi for a minute while everything else gets capped by the opponent is not smart, but you see it constantly in low-rated blitz.
The best players always keep an eye on the bigger picture while also being good at fighting.
Got 5 losses in a row on this toon and got 9 wins in a row on my other alt. Just keep queing is what I can say. Quitting is one way to never obtain the rating you desire. Gl.
It’s random like that. It’s why Blizzard should be more transperant about the way their rating and matchmaking system works.
We all know they (Activision Blizzard) have a patent on a matchmaking system that’s designed to keep people playing. The patent describes that there’s a tool within that matchmaking system that will ocassionally put a player on a losing streak to keep them on the treadmill. The patent also describes a tool that allows the algorithm to tweak damage numbers of specific players during the match if that player or team needs to lose.
My guess that patent is not used for World of Warcraft but considering they have the tech and some really weird stuff is happening lately (17mil chaos bolts, matchmaking where my team is 1800 mmr and the enemy team mmr is 1300 or the other way around), it would be nice for them to be more open and transperant about this system.
In Solo Shuffle, you can mostly only blame yourself for losing, but in BG Blitz it’s really weird to be put in the losing team 5-8 times in a row.
You could argue that it’s a skill issue, but sadly that’s not the case on every map. As a tank I can carry a team in a capture the flag map if I’m lucky by getting the flag across and I have a healer playing the objective with me, even if my team is fighting mid non-stop. But on other maps like Arathi Basin, you cannot carry an entire team with 1-2 people.
There are some exceptions where it’s a very close call. I’ve had moments where my team won while the enemy team had 1460 points in Silvershard Mines as an example. But those occasions are rare and more often than not, one team is losing exceptionally hard with almost 1k point difference or no flag caps at all.
If they were open about these things, it’d be easier for players to give feedback and alleviate frustrations too.
I just join to share my pain and my luck i guess!! I reach 1960 and after that i got que with teams with lower rating than mine and not only that most of those 15 loose streaks were with bots (yes i lost more than 200 points in 2 days) , and finaly i just had my first win after those days ^^ and i got zero rating!! Thank you blizz <3
