Should I just give up on Blitz?

I had the crazy idea to try and go for the 2300-2400 titles mostly just for fun but also because I never got them back in the classic days.

So yeh I got into the ring, done plenty of gearing up and having had quite the roller-coaster of wins and losses.

However latetly I notice I seem to reach only 1500-ish, was almost up to 1600 when the loss streaks just kept pouring in. And it is not just this season, it happened previous seasons as well, where I got to approx around the same amount and then it was like the system itself decided to just pull the break and send me back hundreds of points.

At first, these things are just disappointing, irritating etc but at this point it’s just so energy draining and the goal just seem impossible. I am really at my wits end and at a breaking point.

Should I just drop this and perhaps try again in Midnight (providing Blizzard has actually learned something and improved things) or is it just completely pointless?

I got three tips, two of them being the most important ones, and often overlooked.

#1 Practice makes perfection, queue normal random battlegrounds, learn every ability and talent from your class & specialization, understand every objective and it’s values in each battleground, learn your rotation and experiment them, understand what it is needed from you to better help your team. Make friends, play together and combine both of your skills in better understand communication and skills which goes to ;

#2 Find a partner to play with, a good healer that you can rely on and push together, and play in voice if it helps.

if team mates isn’t the alternative for you, then ;

#3 Stick to small sessions, play 2-3 matches per session, keep yourself focused, the more you play consecutively the more chances you’ll get tired and therefore commit mistakes and best period to play is in the evenings, queues tend to be shorter and MMR distribution is more accurate than during late mornings. But most importantly, don’t over do it.

You could record and upload your gameplay and link it here.
Then we can tell you what you could do better.

Also, are you using the best build and the right gear for your class?

h.ttps://murlok.io/warrior/fury/blitz

Here you can see what the top rated fury warriors pick on the ladder. Try to copy it.

No, keep trying. You might wanna change a few things though.

It would be nice to actually get in there, the waiting times are completely unreasonable, or maybe I just don’t have the patience^^

The best time to play is late afternoon / evenings, queues are average 10-15 mins, and you occassionally get insta pop.

1.5 hours and more as a healer (not this one) Maybe wrong server?

What is your rating and mmr?

lower than low.

Well, give it a try, play in the evenings keep it 2-3 games a session, see if you can win some games and increase your average MMR, let me know if your still struggling

Keep trying. I had a miserable loss streak from 1790cr all the way down to 1350 or something. I went and played shuffle for a few weeks to get 2.1 there instead as it seemed impossible in blitz. After that, I came back to blitz and just kept queueing. I’m now at almost 2.6kcr so it’s definitely possible.

Just focus on the objectives and how best your character can contribute at any given time in a match. Good luck!

Once you get past 1600 you will mostly have 50/50 games and start climbing. Sadly the 1500-1700 hell is absolutely real.

Just turn off chat, ignore what your team doing and u have free 2400. They are mostly running arround map like headless chick.

I don’t know why, but my priest gets BlitzBg quite quickly, while nothing happens with my shaman.

Actually, it was only about 1.4 at first, so that I could buy the chests.

Now my priestess will probably become a Blitzcommissioned

Are you doing the objectives and only focusing on objectives in those blitzes. If answer is no, then there is nothing blizz can do about it.

You can focus on objectives, but when in 60%+ of your games at <2.5mmr, at least 2 of your teammates do not, there is indeed nothing you can do to influence that game

Yea that is on the “higher” level where everyones input start matter more, op is speaking of struggles of getting out of 1500-1600 and if I now check him he looks to be on 1400 and he dont look to have 2500mmr there as its gone negative. On negative 1400 level persons own input matters alot more than what others are doing, if the player joins the zerks around map instead of focusing objectives then that contributes on their loses. So hence I asked if they are focusing on objectives in the blitzes and if the answer is no then there is nothing blizz can do about it.

Everyone can get out of 1600 by just doing their best and playing objectives, at that level it dont matter what others are doing, you can carry yourself to 2.1 by being the person capping flags and bases on correct time if you play with addon and map and do bit of thinking ahead on the game. Something is 15 seconds to flip and you look enemy team being other side of map fighting in zerk so you figure this base would be good to run before it flips. You need addon like battlegroundenemies if you wish to being able to fast click your enemies and see their positions on the map and plan strategy according that. Thats how everyone with any exp in pvp plays atleast. They dont just mindlessly follow the herd and fight as one ball somewhere that has no importance for any objectives. I’m constantly dying alone because I ignore the said herds doing nothing and I’m trying to play the objectives no matter what others are doing, as in time if I keep trying do objectives that will contribute in me climbing.

No, just give up on WoW PvP and Blizz. They don’t want pvp’ers and that’s the result of it. The balance is terrible, wintrading, botting, yada yada. Never ends because punishment is not happening.

I have 2 tips:

  1. make a rogue, feral or mm
  2. if you brick the char (low mmr after ~25-50 games when mmr seemingly stops jumping back and forth), make a new one

(This is not a joke.)

i’m hoping blizzard will add some penalty for queue synching very soon … my last hope for blitz is midnight addon pruning after that i’ll be done with wow if nothing is moving forward…

The ladder is so inflated that Blizzard is putting players who are at CR 0 in the 1500-1700 bracket. It causes an influx of bad players to join that bracket, with the risk of more losses.

I’m in the same boat with my feral druid. I was still learning the spec myself, got thrown into 1500. My first matches were a bit bad, and now I cannot get beyond 1650 CR even tho I play the objectives and all my other specs / classes I play are well over that.
