It’s the same across the board IMO whether you take part here, or on an unofficial forum or Reddit. Negative topics will always get more traction and people generally have more reason to post when they are complaining about something or seeking a solution. The bulk of the player base don’t take part in the various social media sites or the official forums. They are happily playing the game. However Blizzard can gather feedback from the various sources.
It’s a large playerbase and as such they will have very varying opinions on how things should work in game. People seem to have to blame some medium if there is something added to the game they don’t like. Blaming streamers, the forums, reddit, wowhead etc is all very common. I’m just glad Blizzard are listening.
There are changes I don’t like in the game but lets be real, it’s impossible for them to please everyone.
I enjoy the forums and the game. I’ve made some great friends in game and some from the forum who I play with now too. I love our little community of regulars. In all mediums there will always be trolls. There is no way round that.

People are using it. PvP people are using it for pvp releated topics, PvE for pve, we even have trolls. A complete forum. Thats enough consensus for a forum.
it is what is wrong with the world atm. people want everything they dont enjoy to be banned or removed. where the actual solution is to just STOP ENGAGING with that thing you dont enjoy anymore.
if you dont like the forums, just STOP using them brother.
its not hard.
It is easier to remove the source of the temptation than have the willpower to resist it…
But of course as soon as they realize how empty their life is without it, soon find another one
And the cycle continnue

Someone once said that those people (woke and cancel culture and such) are just humanshaped locust. They infiltrate a fandom, consume it from within and run to the next one just to begin anew. rinse and repeat

If they had never created the forums it would be fine.
But we have had them for 18 years and taking it away wouldn’t be ‘fine’.
Plenty of people want to feel like they’re being heard. Feel like they’re being acknowledged. Feel like they can voice their opinion about things that matter to them.
The forums, despite all the bad side effects, allow that to happen.

Should forums be deleted? No, why should they?
Should dev’s use forums for feedback? No absolutely not.
sometimes i get help here. so no!
there is troll army with salary if you dont know… they do it many years. for example there is tons of bot trolls in d3 forum with salary. so there is only piece of S. trash talk here.
In contrary to your excellent choice of words that radiate well intention and a safe space?

Delete? No, but the “Nobody is forcing you to do it” answer to a good chunk of the posts has to stop. Such a lame, nonsense, pointless response to try and shut down conversation.
Blizzard can delete all the game files and replace it with Pong, yet come here and complain about it and you will have someone pipe up with “Well nobody is forcing you to play it”.

No because I want to find out what happened to that guy who got arrested for “IRL PvPing” a burglar and the guy who is facing divorce after getting caught playing Torghast at work.
These are serious, real issues that definitely happened which may impact us all in our own lives.

I’m writing this one down.
Do you not need an active US subscription just to be able to post there? Seems like a massive waste.

I feel fan boys stick around the forums more. A better balance of appreciators and critiquers is needed.
