Exaggerating something to the point of ridiculousness to drive home a point.
It makes sense in spoken arguments. In written ones where there is no tone or context it makes the user of hyperbole look like an idiot whose argument deserves to be ignored because its absurd.
You try in vain to be smart. You’re not doing well. And I see you’ve been trying to troll lately. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work for you either.
