I have a big problem about reputation grind in game. In a game design perspective it is horrible.
There are 2 reputations I have specific problems with;
Tortollan Seekers and Champions of Azeroth. These 2 do not have questlines to push you at least to Honored and since we got to grind 21000k RP just to reach revered reputation by doing only world quests which gives 75-150 RP is horribly boring. Not to mention doing same quest over and over and over and over again is boring.
If I started playing recently and I have no means to catch up. Since HoA is tied to rep and Emmissary Quest cycle has too many factions on it already.
Although I understand the logic behind it, I just don’t find it player friendly. I find it lazy. Time gate your content so you don’t have to push real content till the next “big patch”.
For the Champion you should have almost everyday a mission worth 500 to 850 rep at 200%
Next you have the contracts and the emissaries, but other than that it’s just the good ol’ wq grind and story quests
Maybe Tortollan Seekers don’t have enough questlines to get you to Honored but still it’s far easier to get their rep on the horde becasue plenty of Nazmir storyline gives Tortollan rep.
Also, sorry rep grinds are part of old mmorpg design. So maybe you just don’t like mmorpg games.
Just do the emissaries. At ~2000 rep each you only need 11 of them, so that’s around 44 WQs spread over some time. Of course it’s slow but you can be getting on with reps for Mechagon while you wait for emissaries.
I’m doing that for Nazjatar just now. I’m a chunk into Honoured with Rustbolt and only half way through Friendly with Nazj. as I’m only doing their emissaries. Of course I’ll be a while getting flying but my blood pressure will be in a better state when I do get it.
Maybe you’ve been desensitized by poorly designed content. Every other RPG I’ve ever played builds your reputation through the story not by grinding dailies. Right now rep is just another bar you need to fill and doesn’t actually mean anything.
Tortollan rep grind can be pretty savage compared to others as they are spread out, and there’s generally less of them. I found using the Tortollan contract helped immensely. I realise that 10 rep per world quest doesn’t sound like much, but this applies to ALL world quests, and it soon adds up.
Also, be sure to check the mission table constantly. This is another great way to earn rep, and you don’t really have to do anything for it. I got my Zandalari to exalted primarily from side quests, mission table and emissary. I rarely bothered with WQs.
Also, perhaps you could check out this addon which will guide you through quest chains that give rep - https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tortollan-quest-chain-completion
Best of luck.
