Hello. As it stands right now, the Void Elf lore is not really established, there are a ton of loopholes in the story that have no definitive answers to them and all established Void Elf characters are shallow. This last issue is perhaps the most bothersome; none of the lore figures we have are in any way interesting. Don’t you think it’d spice up the race a little if they had, say, Liadrin or Rommath turn into a purple elf with tentacle hair?

no. void elves are something blizzard pulled out of their bottom, they got too many blood elf customization options already and turning belf lore figures into velf would be, simply put, incredibly idiotic.

Liadrin also is a paladin. Seems highly unlikely she’d become a void elf.

I’m not sure if this is a weekend thread or if it’s legit.
If it’s legit, we do have big characters like Alleria Windrunner and Umbric. Our race is very new so of course we don’t have many heroes. Give it some time.
Alleria Windrunner is a big hero in Warcraft lore. Her statue stands outside of Stormwind since before vanilla. She’s very famous and my favorite character if I’m being honest.
Umbric is… new I can’t really judge him. He was a bit crazy at first with the void, but I started to like him more after he met alleria and controlled his void hunger.
Have you seen how Rommath treats the High elves? Let alone VOID elves. He is the biggest horde fan there is. I doubt he would become a void elf lmao.
A Paladin joining the Void elves… really?
Looking from a different perspective (assuming Liadrin didn’t hate the Alliance), this would be nice lore to add Void Elf Paladins to the game.
I mean any other race/class combinations like Tauren Paladins were added to the game this way, by changing, adding new story to the lore so it would make sense. Otherwise may as well throw the whole lore away.
That would quite literally rip them apart. Void and Light are complete opposites.

Are there any big high elf characters who could go void? The only ones I know are Alleria (already void) and Varessa, who’s a paladin isn’t she? So unlikely to go void, same as Liadrin. Unless she goes off the deep end nuts, like if something happens to her kids or something like that.

What about Void and Fel then? To add DH to Void Elves. Were they opposite like Void and Light as well?
That should work. Fel belongs to disorder, so its opposite is order (arcane)

The void elves, while cool, have taken the blood elves model and skin colours and all but their identity as a playable race.
Void elves cannot take more from them

Pretty sure they can function together. Both Warlocks and Demon Hunters can both wield Fel and Shadow together.
Void Elf and Nightborne Demon Hunters have been a thing I’ve advocated for since the two races became playable.
I like the way it sounds when I say “Void Elf Paladin” or “Void Elf Demon Hunter” anyway.
