Shouldn't shields be weakened by dampening?

This is the reason why disc is doing so good right now, because with such high dampening shield > gimped healing every time. I think all shields should be affected by dampening. Pain suppression reduces damage taken by 40%, but if there’s 50% dampening it should be just 20%. For example paladin bubble and mage ice block shouldn’t make them immune, if there’s 50% dampening they should take 50% damage.

Shields are weakened by damp, otherwise it’s a bug. I’m pretty sure the shields are though, no?

I’m talking about mitigation and immunity shields, they aren’t affected by dampening.

How should bubble be affected by dampening? Make you half immune?

he means the utility so his half right

but i dont think there is way dampen could affect how core mechanics of classes work like blood alrdy said haha

like could a rogue only half vanish

some classes just have better toolkit than others and mitigation and immunities are king on dampen

For example rogue evasion:
Increases your dodge chance by 100% for 10 sec.
With 50% dampening this ability increases your chance to dodge only by 50%.

so like u would want pain suppression to be 20% instead 40% i guess and then eventually be 0% cd when its deep damp?

that would cause way too many problems than fix tbh to try deal with every cd on game and give them the “dampening” treatment

idk if that is good idea, but u are right anyway that some classes are better dealing with burst dmg and dampening

easyest solution would be slow the dampening ramp and buff healing for classes that are “pure healers”

but idk im not comfortable on waiting for them to tune or fix things its easyer for me to adjust on it myself

Or we just leave it as it is cause it’s fine already.

I’m building an idiot, can I borrow your brain please mate?

i like my disc, we can leave everything as it is :joy:
