This will help make a more informed decision when you select which group to join.
To put this into context - some dps classes work better with each other, in some cases it is important to know if the party is full melee or ranged etc.
Heck, even the tank and healers class info could help.
Current LFG UI is too old and is really outdated.
Also seeing group leader ilvl can’t hurt.
Although, I guess that maybe right now is not the greatest time to change things, seeing Trade Post bugs and fails it is kinda scary to think that same programmers will start digging through LFG’s decade-old code… I mean they did manage to fix TP, but we still “complete” Trade Post tasks after the main “quest” for the month is done, have you noticed? And you can even go and open the chest again, and you see the tokens there, and you even loot them, but the tokens in the currency tab don’t increment… etc etc. So really TP is half-fixed I’d say. I’m a professional coder myself and it’s not what I can call a finished solution. It can either frustrate or infuriate the users so to say. Why leave and release it like that? You call this a fix? A patch? jeez
And as a side note, can we stop this biz with “2.5k main” in grp names and descriptions? Like rly, OMG who cares what your main’s rating is? You probably try to sneak into higher difficulties on the shoulders of others while undergeared and playing a class that is not your main and you probably can’t play it well yet. Like srsly, it’s the same as those Lariat crafters that post meaningless achievements in trade chat that say they completed “this number of personal orders” oh wow, oh credibility! They could post, and 99.9% that they did, all those orders from an alt or asked a guildie. Either way, it doesn’t mean anything, same as your main’s rating doesn’t mean anything. Knowing 5+ years old dung mechanics is also unimpressive, bring big numbers - heals, damage, having decent GEAR for staying alive as a tank. None of this is bound to your main’s rating.
Its useful data indeed, but if that is shown everywhere in lfg ingame i kind of feel like it will promote fotm gameplay even more than it already does now. Especially how entitled people in pugs already feel
Ye i agree i would like to see a spec because i’ve been struggling with hunters for example
i don’t want to go to IO to know if he is a MM BM or SV
it would be so much more helpful if i could see his spec so i can pick him because he has BL or no
More info about people you are picking for your key is always welcome in my opinion
This only goes for us priests as we have 2 heal specs.
No class has 2 tank specs, so you’ll be able to roughly predict what they can do.
This on the other hand, as well as seeing if I inv an MM or BM hunter, is helpful. (Mainly because MM doesn’t generally use pets - they’ll likely only call it to provide BL).
I would like this especialy for druids…since moonkins dont work with shadow and i will gladly take a cat into the group. I usualy end up just declining druids alltogether, sadly.
This is true but the Bloodlust far outweigh how it sucks to do it and should always be done any MM hunter that is not willing to get a pet out for BL is the problem not MM itself.
You can even summon the pet dismiss the pet and at the last second use Bloodlust before it goes away.
Yes this lowers the dps you do as the hunter it does however benefit the group so much that it is worth it.
