where can i farm it other than the raids?
Supposedly you can get them from (winning?) BGs, and there is allegedly a 50% chance to get one if you win an arena match.
the quest says ny’alotha and world bosses, winning battlegrounds and arenas and honorable kills.
it seems to have a ~75% chance to drop from a 2s win from my experience. i got 14/19, friend also got 14/19.
does it not drop at all from m+?
I’ve been doing a few small keys this week, but didn’t get (or see anyone getting) any Shreds of Insanity. The heroic raid bosses I did (just three yesterday) dropped 10 each, though, just like with the previous focus.
yeah heroic gives it insanely fast, just 2 resets and you have all you need. seems to be by far the most efficient way to get them.
i read that normal only drops 1, so that’s very slow. arena is faster than that, but still quite slow. mythic only gives 20 supposedly, but if you’re doing mythic you get it very easily with heroic and a few mythic bosses thrown in first week of progress. quite surprised you don’t get any from m+, especially with how many heroic gives.
what kinda world bosses tho?
Another must have profession grind?
I guess nothing was learned from how much everyone has been enjoying this in Nazjatar.
Does anyone know how high this grind will go?

In Nazjatar you could only get Focus progress from the raid.
For Nyalotha you can get Focus progress from the raid, from world content and from all forms of PvP.
Yeah, definetly the same exact thing and not improved at all.
Sometimes I can get the concerns and criticism you forum people have. But I swear, sometimes it’s like Ion Hazzikostas could mail you a hundred dollar bill and you would complain it’s folded wrong.

That is highly unlikely, unless your plan is to gear up to 475 exclusively by doing a +15 Mythic Dungeon every week and no other content whatsoever.
I got 2 from winning a normal bg today.
It’s pretty nice that there are alternate ways to get these.

Got two out of ~100hk and one from winning a bg
The raids give a lot of them tho, 1/ boss in normal and 10/ boss in heroic, need 20 for heroic quality gear and 200 for mythic.
Dunno if lfr drops any buy I guess it does, with something like one per wing.
Hardly, unless you raid mythic, or weekly chest gives (at +15) different slot each time, which is kinda low chance overall.
you have more important thing to worry about, like having the wrong DK enchant on your weapon

so can anyone explain in 2 bgs I did with my healer druid friend, one random 1 epic why i only get 2 shreds and he got 11.
It does not seem tied to hks but to class, since guildy druid and dk get random number of shreds during a match, while we are stuck on mostly 1. similar to lfr boss.

Yes you can get 10 from heroic bosses, but not quite there yet.
It is not connected to either. I’m a druid, I got a total of zero Shred of Insanity across almost 40 BGs during the BG. I got 1-2 at the end if it was a win. I’ve done damage, I’ve healed, and I had games with 300 and more HKs.
