Out of curiosity. After how many normal boss kills do you deserve to craft mythic gear?
Oh yeah, it should be attainable through different means for sure.
Sounds like you have an elitist mindset. I donât think of it in terms of âgetting mythic gearâ. Rather I think of it in terms of: being able to craft upgrades for my character. Why in the holy hell should that require mythic raiding?
So itâs okay if trivial PvP drops them and trivial PvE doesnât? Iâm not saying they should drop from WQs but the should at least drop from the assault chest or visions.
It doesnt require mythic raiding. It requires 200 normal boss kills or 20 in HC (quite low tbh)
It shouldnt drop alot in anything trivial.
It requires raiding. Period.
Thatâs limiting and bad imo.
Apparently not since you can get it in BGs and arenas aswell?
⊠youâre taking the piss now. Stop trolling.
Thatâs my whole point: if itâs available in casual pvp, it should be available in casual pve as well. End of story.
So you want to be able to farm mythic gear doing WQs? Please nowâŠ
But yeah it shouldnt drop from BGs either, can agree with you there.
200 normal kills is excessive. Normal bosses should drop 5 shreds each. It would also be nice to be able to get them from M+. I did a few Epic BGs since Wednesday and I have not gotten a single Shred of Insanity, either. Maybe before it was too many in the first week (I didnât try it then), but getting zero now sucks, too. And of course, no mention of it in the patch notes. But hey, at least the MoP farms were mentioned.
For me, one of the bigger issues with the game has always been that there arenât multiple equal ways of getting âstuffâ. Take tanking trinkets for example. For several tiers now, the best (and in some ways: only) tanking trinkets drop in raids. Why? Raids donât have a shortage of tanks, M+ and other small-group content does.
If your not willing to step up in difficulty, yeah its going to take some time. Sounds about right to me. You get HC gear from 20 normal kills.
Can agree its wierd that it doesnt drop from m+.
Well, I didnât actually say that, did I? If you look at my previous comments, thatâs made pretty clear.
But⊠even if it would be WQs: Thatâs not really that much of a stretch compared to BGs.
Iâm an anti elitist, so I disagree. I do think that PvP and PvE should receive the same kind of treatment though.
This threadâs comment section : âây i have to raid to get raid gear wtf blizzââ
Raid or die is soooo 2006. We SHOULD have other options.
Not really, as youâre severely limited on where you can get them pve-wise. For someone raiding, youâll outgear that slot long before you can craft for it. And thatâs not even considering corruption.
What else is there though? Getting shred of insanity from clearing old raids?
There are other options. However getting mythic gear shouldnt come from trivial content.
- A % chance to get them from rare mobs in Uldum and Vale.
- A low % chance to get them from elite mobs in Uldum and Vale.
- 1 Shred from the invasion completion chest.
- chance to get Shred of Insanity from an Emissary Quest.
- chance to get Shred of Insanity from a Horrific Vision chest.
- Drop from LFR bosses.
- A way to actually CRAFT the Shreds with materials (should be expensive and/or have a cooldown).
And thereâs plenty more ideasâŠ
Viable options? No.
Thatâs your opinion and I disagree. And so does Blizzard because they currently ARE dropping in trivial PvP content!
The horror of people being able to use their professions to craft gear.
Well I dont think crafting mythic gear should be a thing. First its a pay-to-win thing. So I got my 200 shred early and payed about 600-700k gold rolling bis stats on ring, hands and legs. Well most people dont have that kind of gold laying around to be able to roll bis stats on all of them. The randomness of the crafting system is just idiotic all around but yeah thats wow these days.
Second problem I see I shouldnt from 2 HC clears be able to craft mythic pieces in 3 gear slots before I even set foot in mythic.
Which is the problem of BfA professions since the start. Professions were already screwed in Legion (the gear could be upgraded at the cost of an arm and a leg to HC dungeon level) and BfA took it even worse - getting to 150+ requires way too much mats (40+ ore per piece) and the gear is obsolete before people can use it.
This issue is just another symptom of BfAâs screwed up professions and the over-inflated ilvl growth.
An issue as well, I wonder why couldnât they keep the WoD system of having a pretty cheap âreroll statsâ item instead of forcing re-crafting, especially at the current absurd material costs.
the only good craft item is eng head. it can still be upgrade by the time focus got upgraded, canât say the same about all other craft items tho
