So since Wednesday the Shreds of Insanity are no longer dropping from battlegrounds (wins) or honor kills. Last week fine (46 from kills) but nothing this week. Assume bug as no notes and quest still says from battlegrounds/honour kills. US forums also mentioning it, sigh.

Maybe you can’t get it in BGs anymore? Because I just got one from HK in Uldum. Also I was getting it yesterday by killing horde in Nazjatar.
i just got 3 from random wsg, 1 for win and 2 from kills.
I guess I have just been unlucky then 
Well just done Epic conquest and had 12 killing blows and 50+ honorable kills = 0 shred of insanity. Something has changed since last week where this would have been at least 3- 4+…
The fact that it drops so easily in PvP is an insult to PvE players. The item drops way too little on lower difficulty PvE content, while it drops in stupid numbers in lower difficulty PvP.

Not an insult at all, its not an ‘easy’ drop. I enjoy PvP, others don’t I get it. BUT going afk in battlegrounds doesn’t award…you have to do something and even then I’m pretty high up for battlegerounds and I could only get 3-5 max per battleground. Just done 25 horde kill quests and received 0 shred’s. Even a simple explanation from notes or Blizz would have been helpful.

The only real PvE equivalent would be having a chance (even a smaller chance, let’s say 2-4%) that the item drops from elite mobs in the ‘new old zones’.
But no… we get a once per week boss that drops 1.
And we get raid bosses and not even in LFR… what is that nonsense?!
So anyone who is not into PvP and doesn’t raid gets to farm this stuff for 20 (!) and then 200 (!!!) weeks!!! That. Is. Wrong.

It’s a profession item. It shouldn’t be so tightly linked to raiding. While I get the majority of Shreds from raid bosses, I like that there are different ways of getting them. If someone has the materials and profession skill to make these items, they should be able to gather the Shreds without feeling required to raid.
I agree that normal raid bosses should drop five of them instead of just one.

Maybe it’s capped in PVP, in the same way it’s capped in raids.
IT makes 0 sense why it is not worl wide drop from ANYTHING like AP.
But i strongly feel it comes from PVP mostly because there is waay less people botherind doing PVP at all .
I do for my set for 1800 thats it maybe mount.
It comes from random bgs just screams to me way less people are bothered to do them at all .
