Shrine of the Storm is NOT new player friendly

Dear Blizzard,

Please remove Shrine of the Storm from the LFG dungeon as it’s not only overtuned, but also impossible to do with new players. It needs a solid nerf to its damages and/or tweak to lfg difficulty as the scaling gives every ability a one shot mechanic. Every new player I chatted with got super discourage with this dungeon. The 3rd boss requires knowledge of the mechanics but can be done if you are a dps and nuke the charm off the player. Still, a big pain in the head to deal with and explain to new players. However, the 4th boss is just impossible, especially with the new talent tree, and not having interrupt as a baseline ability making “consume essence” very hard to deal with. As a tank and as a healer. One of the phases has two consume essences up, guaranteeing one person dying. There is a lot wrong with how new players need to be taught, but BfA dungeon pool is just horrible for new players. I’ve had several instances while levelling where we simply kicked the new player because the mechanics are a pain to deal with and explaining it to new players opens a new world to them. instead of slowly making them adjusted to dungeon mechanics.

PS: The dungeon tool also sucks right now because cloth players get plate vice versa??

just wait for it to be used as mythic plus next season

NONE of the BfA dungeons is friendly - or even approximatery appropriate - for new players. Just the understanding of where to go, what to avoid, and how to avoid it is far beyond the understanding of new players. (And, naturally, an opening for impatient old-timers to scream at the helpless newbies and sour them on the game. Rezan? Vol’kaal? The Captains???)

New players have no chance of doing anything rifght.

Well you can open up journal and read the abilities of each boss.

I honestly don’t understand why Blizzard are waiting to balance BFA dungeons. Unless at this point they finally realized that to be new player friendly the dungeons require heavy redesigns and are working on that, but I kinda doubt that’s the case.

God forbid to do that be it a dungeon or a raid
It is easier to whine and moan about how hard it is

Except we’re not talking about you and me, but about new players. And these dungeons are frankly too heavy on mechanics for people who might be there for the first time. It’s quite the trial by fire.

New players can read too
The game points you toward to that Guide to learn about the enocunters and bosses…
Every dungeon is hard if you don’t now what and how to do!
If you jump in to them blindly it will be a trial, yes… but you can thanks that to yourself

No, when I did my first dungeon (Deadmines) it wasn’t hard at all and it also has nothing to interrupt or cleanse. It allowed new players to get a grasp of how dungeons work including threat management for tanks and healing other players for healers.

BFA dungeons were designed for players who reached level 110 with minimal to no adjustment for new players and it shows.

Wow a dungeon where you actually need to do mechanics, well its good to learn these since recent expansion requires that you interrupt, do mechanics and avoid tons of ground effects also.

Give new players a starting zone with Vanilla questing like Stranglehorn Vale, Northern barrens and queueing for Vanilla Dungeons instead of BFA

I mean, Blizzard really hate new players and then the new ones want to quit WoW after less than 3 months

Our whining and moaning was justified. They listened. Stop bashing on people expressing their criticism. Everyone’s view matters…
