Hi there guys, i recently swapped to a ranged class and now working my way up in higher mythic+ levels(18+).
I have a question how you, as a ranged player, kicks the add in phase 2. Do you let the first cast go and kick the 2nd or do you always kick the first one?
If i kick the first casts you rarely seem to have good enough dps so that u can kill of the first target making another dpser kciking the second cast.

Hope you guys understand what i mean and that i can getr some help from you guys running higher keys

I actually spent half a minute figuring out that you meant the last boss. I don’t have an answer for you, but maybe someone else was wondering this too.

You’re talking about the transition phase on the final boss fight there.

I think the main question that determines the answer is likely: how many interrupts do you have available between the 3 of you (while the other 2 are phased away), and how many casts will there be, before they return.

I havent played dps there, but we usually have the hunter or shadow priest interrupt the one that we’re not killing, the other 2 focusing on kill target. Me or the tank assist on the other one when we get out.

Let one go through on the add you aren’t killing, its not a train smash and its kind of expected on higher keys. Sure it’ll damage people but they shouldn’t panic at being half health.
The only other source of damage is tentacle slam and that will kill you whether you are at 50% health or 100% health.
