Heyo,
Tried healing some shuffles today and it somehow felt worse than it did during the actual season.
The damage spikes is insane!
So, my question is:
What healer do you guys think will “dominate” early S3?

no healer for shuffle till they fix mmr, heal mmr is the common denominator as reason for this
Mistweaver handles big damage spikes the best. It’s the perfect healbot, and its toolkit is perfect for shuffle: Cocoon to save idiots, high mobility to chase after warriors who heroic leap behind pillars.
Shamans & Evokers will probably be pretty lame. They require 7 times the amount of effort to perform as well.
hey watch it buddy, have moderation how you address your fellow players in shuffles
lowkey liking it tho
Give all healers tools to nullify their team mate’s stupidity, like Mistweaver CDs, and you’ll see more healers in shuffle.
Life Cocoon negates a kill on a target even if it has literally 3% HP and resets the game.
Revival immunes the whole team to magical damage and CC, and resets the game.
What do Shamans have? Ascendance which doesn’t do anything? Earthen Wall Totem & Spirit Link Totem which both require your team mates to have a 3 digit IQ?
I like shuffle. But if Blizzard want this bracket to work, the healing cooldowns of many specializations will have to be entirely overhauled, because when I’m playing anything that’s not Mistweaver, I feel powerless in many situations.
And I don’t think it’s Mistweaver being too strong - it’s everyone else being too weak.
markers said on his stream he talked with some from blizz and he adviced them to increase healer dmg and the guy said that they have been looking into something like this as incentive, he specifically asked increase on healers like druids dmg output aswell
dont know if there is connection with it or not but i see increase on druids aggro capabilities now with the tree wrath being instant and some increases on rake and ferocious bite even tho i think catweaving is bad anywhere outside of 2v2 so would rather see more on the spells instead, i like it anyways but i would also like them see fix mmr if they want any heals on this shuffles
Increasing healer damage will also increase healer complexity because it will then become “the optimal” way to play. And to balance things out, they will decrease healing to make up for the added utility provided by the boosted damage.
Low level healers will struggle even more than they do now.
I completely oppose this idea.
On paper it boosts your output by a good margin but the problem is that you need to hardcast a lot for it to have any meanigful impact (the initial heal on use is not so impressive) and one cc on you shuts it down almost completely. The long CD of 3 min and its short duration don’t help either.
Yes, that’s why I call it useless.
I remember a few expansions ago, you need to be in close range to your allies, but pressing that button also caused a huge wave of healing just like Mistweavers’ Revival.
It’s gone now. The spell is straight up useless. Complete garbage of a cooldown. Waste of space on an already bloated toolkit.
I’ll still play my Rsham because displacing the cage totem and bouncing enemies around is hilarious.
I did try MW but it felt worse than last season.
Don’t need healer to do dmg imo. Don’t like fistweaver, I just wish people didn’t get crit 250k 5 times in a row so often.
if spike damage is a issue, i suggest you try perservation evoker, it’s a great counter burst healer

it gives healers more options to close games, i can carry on rsham better than on rdruid example, on other im more dependant on the dps having brain and on other i can contribute on the kills so it feel less frustrating if and when they are doing random things. on healers like druid and mw you kinda just have to witness it and continue healing till your mana runs out, this is not what gets healers to play shuffles, i think markers is right
Good point!
I disagree with that and quite honestly - most people will. Being able to deal damage and contribute to the kill feels a lot more engaging than hugging pillars at 40 yard range and waiting for your mates taking damage. I absolutely hate having idle time between my gcds.
They should double down on that approach, just like they did in Overwatch. Healers in Overwatch are more in a support role (with healing as their main utility ofc) and some of them are also really strong duelers or can have crazy burst if played correctly. The result are 1-2 min queue times for dps (instead of 30) despite having a 1 tank - 2 dps - 2 healer format instead of a 2 dps - 1 healer format.
Exactly… priests and monk are bad player proof at some degree.
for example if someone not use defensives when they pop big on him its automatic lose if you are resto druid, while monk or priest still have chance to save a day…
Pres evoker feels really bad to play rn idk if thats a case because of the utility the class itself offers tho.
healers don’t need to do big dmg, low rated players will suffer even more with the pace of the game, honestly most healers are kind of fine (specially in 3s), but in shuffle aswell, as a healer alot of times if you gonna make a difference just go for cc in the right time and u solo win the round
yo whats up im back
Healers should bring something to the table other than heals.
For a Resto Druid that should be CC, because its how their toolkit is designed.
Something like Disc Priest should do big dmg, because that is how their toolkit is designed.
What should MW bring?
