There are much less players this season compared to DF altogether, yet queues are way shorter. This is undoubtedly because they took some measures to improve them. One of the measures seems to be the adjustment to matchmaking. By cramming everyone between 0 and 2000 mmr in to same category, which means that until you pass this mmr, you will continuously be matched with fotm rerollers at 0 cr doing their first match, testing their keybinds, or just pve players going mog runs.
I get it. long queues suck. But lets not go borderline with this solution. I don’t want to play 5 matches back to back where a healer always goes 0-6, just to prove that i deserve to stay at my mmr. I want more chances to prove that i can go higher, rather than spending most of my time filling in as a live practice dummy for these noobs.
All i am asking for is, lower this match category to 0-1800 or at least 0-1900. Or make it even more advanced! Use the seasonal “rounds played” count as a modifier. If a player has played many rounds this season, it means they did their duty to reduce queues for everyone, and thus should get some slack and be matched less often with low mmr players. More serious lobbies for hard work!
I know, i know. Making solo arenas perfect is hard.
Even with this “solution” the queues are long. Right now it’s probably due to the insane imbalance in pvp and some specs are doing way to much damage for it to be manageable for the others.
they’ve done absolutely nothing lol
its how infaltion works(and yes they didnt reset the mmr with the new season)
starting mmr is 1800-1900 right now due to inflation and in some weeks it will raise to 2k and then to 2.1 2.2 etc
its +30 every week
ever seen a 6000-6000 1600 shuffle guy? i did
putting him anywhere above 1.6 is just free rating for all the dps and 3-3 for the healers
