Sigil of the Seven

After a break of four(ish) years, Sigil of the Seven are happy to be returning as a roleplay guild on Argent Dawn.

I thought it would be best to make this forum post, as the Sigil is a guild with a long history, which I’m sure many people here will remember. So, here’s the answer to the one question that has always plagued us as a guild;

Wait, isn’t that a Scarlet guild?!

In short, no.

The Sigil of the Seven’s long history does, however, have roots in the Scarlet Crusade. Originating from the Scarlet Sigil, it is easy to see why this misconception has often been made. Those in the Scarlet Sovereignty were, at the time, given a choice. Repent, journey to Stormwind and beg for mercy, or live as outlaws, in an otherwise dead and buried crusade.

For those that had chosen to repent, under Bishop Exaviel Alister, the Scarlet Sovereignty was accepted into the Alliance as the newly-founded Sigil of the Seven, whose goal it then became to eradicate all evil from the Seven Kingdoms.

So what’s the Sigil going to do?

We’re simply going to continue as we were.

Now we all know that the “let’s fight for Lordaeron” thing is a bit boring, and definitely overdone. Naturally, with the history of our guild, a lot of our roleplay will be based around Lordaeron. However, as the name suggests, there are seven entire kingdoms that the Sigil will strive to protect and fight for. We’ve got the joy of diversity.

So it’s just boring military RP, then?

Not exactly.

Thanks to the Sigil’s deep-rooted history, a unique ranking system, and a fantastic team of officers, we’re hoping to keep things as exciting and un-cliché as possible.

Naturally, being a Crusade, there is a heavy Light-based theme in our roleplay. As such, the Sigil of the Seven also has its own clergy.

So what’s the point of this thread?

Well, just to let you know that we’re back, we’re recruiting, and that we’re not Scarlets, really.

Uh, yeah, then he came back and started making Scarlet speeches again when the scarlet Rp resurgence happened like 10 months ago or whatever, so…no?

Not representative of the Sigil of the Seven, as the guild has been inactive for four(ish) years.

What he did after this was representative of his character’s beliefs, not the guild. Also, worth mentioning that he no longer plays WoW and isn’t associated with the revival of the guild.

The guild’s name is very heavily associated with him after his tenure. For all the reputation he and the guild earned during that time, it may be better to revive the concept under a new name.

I know the first thing I thought when I saw this thread was “Is Exaviel at it again?”

It’s alright, we true Crusaders of the cause will eradicate this heresy

The ride never ends.

I bet the last thing I see before I die when I’m 80 is another Sigil of Seven thread popping up.

also the sigil of the seven didn’t just go on hiatus, per Exaviel it was explicitly “disbanded”.

Why come back with a name that you know is just going to cause you problems?

Eh, not exactly stoked that a Scarlet guild it back, but at least it will try to keep those with a burning passion for this stuff away from the rest of the AD community, and for that, I’m grateful.

Followed by the Crown Bulwark - maybe?

Sounds good, Scarlet civil war over the monastery out of sight of every other living being on AD. I think we can compromise on that. Winners get slain and forced to faction change into Forsaken.

Or just change to a death knight.

You mean a Onslaught death knight.

And now they are standing in Stormwind.

THE
RIDE
NEVER
ENDS
