I’ve been leveling battle pets for the last 3 days, but the weekly 100% experience buff does not seem to be working as I still receive about 5k xp per battle between level 4 and 19, just as I did two days ago.
I did not really pay attention to the exact numbers, but I’m rather sure that the 100% buff doesn’t work.
Because of maintenance, I can’t log in now to check, but I’d be very surprised.
Since today wass SuperSquirt day in EU, I am quite sure I’d’ve been deafened by the 
of pet battlers if they weren’t getting their double XP. 
When you say 5K, you do mean 5K XP for the pet, not the character? Because character XP is not affected by Sign of the Critter.
And the amount of XP varies wildly between levels 4 and 19, depending what you’re battling. This Powerlevelling Guide shows the optimum levelling battles https://www.wow-petguide.com/Guide/44/Powerleveling_Guide but of course wild battles earn much less XP than Legion Familiar tamers.
I’ll have a look tomorrow (later today!) and see what I get.
Managed to log back and nothing as of now has changed.
5K of XP for pet per battle.
Tested again the very same fight (farming the level 25 pets outside of my garrison) on the same level as Tuesday with other pets give roughly the same XP, nowhere near close to double as it should.
OK, so I just checked in on the Moonlit Shore, and am getting about 5K pet XP (5100-5400 with the Hat) per battle levelling mid-tange level pets against 23-25s.
But checking with a Legion tamer I am, as expected, getting double that, about 11K, and getting a level 1 to 25 in two battles, exactly as expected for Sign of the Critter.So everyting is working as normal.
The thing that Freaks. Me. Out! is that there are four people - FOUR! - levelling pets with wild battles on Moonlit Shore while Snail Fight is up in Legion. SNAIL FIGHT! WHO would level in Moonlit Shore when Snail Fght is up?? WHY? Humans are indeed incomprehensible.
