So, you silence someone for “breaking rules”, but you can’t tell them exactly what they said that was wrong to prevent it happening again? My friend was silenced for a week, and he said next to nothing wrong when I played with him. He asked for proof of what he said that was “wrong” and Blizzard just send an automated response.
How the hell can people tell what they say is wrong if no proof is shown, no logs, nothing. Instead you send a lazy automated response.
The report system is incredibly lazy, Why can’t you simply tell people what things they said that were wrong so they can learn from it. You can get punished for the tiniest things these days it’s actually a joke.
Chat related penalties used to have an automated chatlog affiliated with it but it sometimes generated wrong logs so it has been taken down for the moment being.
On the contrary, CS departments worldwide use templates nowadays if they are answering similar queries. It doesn’t make a difference to you but it speeds up their response times overall being able to reach more inquiries.
I do agree upon request they could give a copy of the chat tho.
You get punished for the same things as in the past. It’s just that people who get penalised try to minimise what they’ve done so it appears it’s a small thing mhm. This is usually the next step as soon as they have or get logs to wriggle under the penalty.
So you were perhaps not there, or you didn’t think it was as worse. The thing is: Your opinion doesn’t matter, especially as a third party.
If the penalised player wishes to he could ask again for the logs and/or appeal.
On the EU forums they’re more strict about this, but on the US forums they sometimes give people a public example on request.
They don’t. As you’re not related to this at all, Blizzard will only correspond with the affected player.
So that is what they did? Mock others being a dog? That is considered chat abuse and they will need to seriously reflect then as the penalty is justified.
Of coruse it’s not allowed. Any post that’s against Blizzard, they don’t like.
They actually silenced me too earlier this year. So yes it does affect me also. I asked for proof, and they sent me an automated response. It’s a joke.
Saying “Woof woof” in say chat is not going against CoC. If it is, then they need to sort their softness out.
Yes so? Many posts on the forum with points in favour or against or something else about Blizzard. The reason why ban discussions aren’t allowed, is because the OP generally self-justifies harassing others becoming a circular argument.
Which happens exactly now
So you admit to being punished for toxic behaviour as well. Well, you gotta work on that!
A templated* response. Which is not automated.
It is verified as being offensive against the CoC as that is meant abusive against other players. The lack of self-reflection in this post is sufficient, we don’t like people abusing others in chat, it is about being nice or not use chat if you can’t.
If you can’t sort yourself out you’re free to leave. Nobody holds you here, or your attitude. Or your “friend”'s attitude.
They’re free to appeal or request logs but chances are if that’s what they did they won’t be overturned. Next one after a week silence is a week suspension.
I didn’t say anything that warranted a silence. And was denied proof when asked. Which is why I made this thread. People that get punished have the right to know what they did that was wrong. The whole report system is lazy and automated, and they can’t give proof because it never happened.
Yes it is, mostly automated responses. And give no proof as to why the punishment took place.
How on earth is saying woof woof in say chat offensive? It’s not even directed at anyone. What if people want to role play and pretend they’re a dog. I mean check my guild name. Is that also against CoC? What a joke.
Chances are they’d get another automated response.
I remember the days where you actually spoke to GMs, back when the system wasn’t flawed. They should go back to those roots.
You can’t even say anything these days without people exploiting the report system. So everyone should just stay silent in chat because of rage reporters. GG
Anyone may request a copy of their logs and other held data through the link here:
If you’re unsure about what is and isn’t acceptable, I can only recommend you review the code of conduct once more, and maybe err on the side of caution in the future:
