I saw someone last month talking about Boralus aesthetic.
So this one is for Silvemoon!
Many don’t catch this at first, I personally didn’t catch this until earlier this year. But Silvermoon has tons of Middle Eastern aesthetic to it, mixed with Elvish of course. It’s a nice touch by Blizzard.
There is a blue Smoke thing. It looks exactly like a “Hookah” which is commonly smoked in the Middle East since the 3rd century (I think). Although the origin of this device was said to be from India. And the most popular color of it is Blue, Similar to the blue hookah in Silvermoon.
The pillows on the floor. Pillows on the floor is a common Middle Eastern Aesthetic, since Middle Eastern men usually sit on the floor while smoking Hookah. (Again look at point 1)
There is a area In Silvermoon called the “Bazaar” which is a Persian word meaning a place where stuff is sold.
Magic. Magic is usually associated with the Middle Eastern folklore like magic carpets and genie’s. Technically magic is in many Folklore’s around the world, but it’s a point I wanna make.
Curved doors. The curved doors look exactly like the curved doors in the Middle East.
Fountains and balcony. A common use by Middle Eastern royalty. Even seen in the Disney Movie Aladdin.
The Golden jewelry. Golden Jewelry is seen as a important accessory for Arabian women since ancient times. The body jewelry in particular looks exactly like the ones you would see Belly dancers wear.
In Silvermoon there are no doors, only Curtains. This is commonly used in some Middle Eastern countries where they would put a curtain instead of a door.
And finally I wanna link this Arab music video (some of the words are in English) which gives me 90% blood elf vibes.

The Troll is a horrible ambassador. He insulted the Belfs many times haha. But it was nice to see nevertheless. I really feel bad for the Belf ambassador. He had to suggest that Silvermoon was not as beautiful as it once was.
It is nice to see for new players and it’s kinda funny.

Interesting thing that they use hookahs because so do the Draenei… wonder what they’re smoking not that I am interested. Smoke makes me cough so bad. Can’t stand incense either, blech.
