Silvermoon City

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if there were any plans, or future plans, for a revamp of Eversong Woods. It has been a long time now and you would imagine Silvermoon City would be repaired by now.

Are there any official news articles regarding the state of Silvermoon City/Eversong Woods?

Probably not because it doesn’t hold the same location as Azeroth its part of the burning crusade.

Silvermoon areas and Azuremyst belong to Outland? But they have the seas but Outland doesn´t

yeah so basically outland and silvermoon city both share the same loading locations so its actually apart of outland and not the main game classic which is why they never redone it probably during cata.

If you go to silvermoon city now you still require to go through a portal to actually get into the city.

Now I can recall that when we found the bug from Silvermoon to Undercity as flight, cannot go through the walls and when the bug is fixed, then it shares the loading screen entering Silvermoon or Azuremyst

But the lore about them is: The Quel´dorei were exiled to eastern kingdoms and they might have explored Silvermoon and created the Sunwell

It would be 100% waste to revamp it because phasing and sharding put everyone in solo mode. That tech killed the game.

All I seem to recall on the official lore side of things, is that the Dead Scar is unlikely to ever recover entirely. So Eversong Woods will be scarred for a long, long time.

As for Silvermoon City, while I don’t doubt that the Blood Elves could have repaired most of it by now, there aren’t enough of them left to populate the city as it used to be. They are down to around one tenth of their pre-Scourge population.

If ever Quel’Thalas becomes an area of importance to the story of the game again, I don’t doubt that it would be given a facelift. Until then? Not looking likely.

I would just love to be able to fly in all these no flight zones  They won’t put the work in if it’s not tied to something bigger though. It would have to be relevant again.

The race that lives there is well liked, but the zone?

It needs more love. We should have taken care of the undead in 15 years already…

But what if Gilneas gets revamped, will that be better?

Never going to happen.
They can’t even be bothered to add all the services that Stormwind/Orgrimmar has to the other 3 cities of each faction.

So if they can’t do something that simple, no chance of a full revamp of the Silvermoon/Exodar area.

Why? Its still going to be empty. You would have to put vendors and somekind of incentive there. People won’t go and stay in places anymore just because it looks cool.

I do regularly to have the right ambiente to write my fanfiction. Would love an updated Silvermoon, a Suramar without hostile mobs, an expanded Telogrus Rift etc. Such things are important for immersion and I’m pretty sure ppl would generally pay more attention to the in game events if the world would reflect them accurately.

Years ago there wasnt jyst sw or org. Ppl used to go in other cities too.
Now all the content is totally neglected.
I agree that probably restoring old zones would require a strong economic effort blizz never ever do.
But having silvermoon totally cut off from the world is a shame.

Unfortunately, Blizzard have shown zero care for capital cities. They should have a small, dedicated team that constantly works on improving cities both visually and functionally, but they choose to completely ignore them.

I hope it will never get revamped like they destroyed my home in Auberdine, or the beautiful Silverpine fores… So much loss there.

Also a boat to Sunwell would be nice.

Same thing to Azure/bloodmyst too.

What feel odd is Silvermoon people go to UC sewers to take a haircut. :grinning:

The short answer is no.

It’s that, or our favorite smelly Orgrimmar…

Actually both are smelly but we’re more related to the undead through their… former leader.

But thankfully, it only is the case in Classic, for Retail the cleanness of Dalaran is more inviting. Thank goodness the hoomans also love to keep magic brooms!

I’d settle for some higher rez trees.

They could make it a rebuilding effort for crafters or something
