I purchased the mail armor transmog ensemble from Taljori on the Siren Isles (3K in Flame blessed iron), right clicked it, it appeared in chat as being added to my appearances, but does not show up in my appearances tab at all. Tried all characters on my account to no avail.

Did it add it as an item to learn, in your bags?

You get an item in your bags, which you have to use to add the transmogs to your appearances.
Yes the usual route - did all that. As I say I got the confirmation in chat once I used the item that the ensemble had been added to appearances…but it isnt there. A fair few folk on Reddit have had the same issue.
In that case, you need to report it as a bug to Blizzard. Bugs are reported in game via the bug reporting tool, not on the forums, and not via a GM ticket.
If you have a US character at level 10 or above, you can also post it on the US forums … they actually have a bug report forum over there. You can create a free US account (starter account) to do so. Although it’s a bit of a long-winded process just to be able to post on some forums.
Thanks for the tips guys. Not sure if it was the Friday hotfix but the items are now in my appearance tabs…not as a set but as individual items and waaaaay down about page 8-10.
