Such sad news :sob:

Almost like the RWF is a trash idea that should not belong in an MMORPG

Kinda ironic that the race would be more fair if the race was easier, and if Blizzard did NOT balance the game around Method and Limit. Since an easier and thus shorter race would make the race more accessible.

what does RWF mean?

Race to World First. It´s a community created even about clearing the raid first.

It´s become increasingly competitive the past 4-5 years and has led to Blizzard balancing the raid around the strongest guilds since Nighthold in LEgion.

Not really since Nighthold in Legion, but really since Sunwell in TBC. Sure it got more complex and elaborate over the years but the Sunwell RWF was a big deal and had a lot of anticipation/coverage.

Ghostcrawler.

I see my way out

This was expected. It takes too much coordination and especially real money to compete. Those top raiding guilds have been asking Blizzard for a long time to stop implementing degen game design but as usual Blizzard does not listen. If they only took out BoE loot, which there literally is no point in, this could have been prevented.

Blizzard didn´t balance the raids around RWF in TBC and Wtlk like they did in LEgion, which was my entire point.

Just look at how easily the first raid of Legion was cleared lol. Clearly did not give a #%#& about RWF, which was great, and raid participation was super high.

Same goes for WtLk, most popular WoW ever been with easy joke raids that could be pugged when overgeared.

Sorry but this is just false. RWF speak with forked tongues. The truth is that Limit and Echo will go to whatever lengths to get first. IF that means creating 9-10 hunters to have the most optimally geared character, then they will do so.

There will always be something more to optimize unless Blizzard just straight up removes loot from the game. Which admittedly, some of them would actually love, but would ruin WoW.

The first raid of legion was easy because Blizzard underestimated how fast people could farm gear with M+. Hellfire Citadel before it and Blackrock Foundry were very difficult raids and Archimonde RWF was a big deal.

EN was the easiest raid maybe since MOP or maybe even WOTLK.

People tend to change hobbies with age. Also retirement age for sport men/women is in 30’s(usually)

The raid that started to break people was Nighthold. Raid participation fell off a cliff from then as Blizzard made raids in general harder and harder. Sure there were outliers, but the hardest raids have been generally made increasingly difficult to pander to a small percentage of players, these are just facts from publicly available information.

Also EN was not easier than WtLK Nax.

EN was not easier than WOTLK Naxx (around LFR difficulty), but T7 was orders of magnitude easier than any other tier in WOTLK so a bad example. Ulduar saw a huge step up, TOTC was very difficult on HC, as was ICC until the raidwide Hellscream buff, but EN was more in this ballpark of difficulty. Cata got even harder, then Firelands got harder again and Ragnaros was ridiculously tough, Dragon Soul was easier aside from Spine of Deathwing which could only be killed by stacking mages/legendary staff/dagger users.

All of the raids in WOD were very tough, EN was easier due to tuning being able to be overcome quickly with gear, Trial of Valor was extremely difficult, Nighthold was decent and then Tomb of Sargeras was incredibly difficult.

To say that Sunwell wasn’t tuned around the world first is a bit of a stretch given it was considered massively overtuned and Muru seemed impossible for many. By the standards of the time, crappy computers, crappy internet and servers with spell batching etc Sunwell was seen as a complete overkill on difficulty, which is probably why they went the complete opposite in T7 as almost nobody even raided Sunwell, let alone cleared it.

Sunwell RWF was the first world first event with big sponsors and coverage.

You honestly have no idea what you are talking about whatsoever. That’s because you are speaking about this from the outside like a little child worshipping people you don’t understand. Those guilds frequently have problems with players quitting or leaving because they cannot be bothered to raid 3 weeks nonstop. If you think that “the best players” are some kind of magical creatures who do not have emotions… because… they are “the best” then please just stop commenting. Both guild masters of these guilds have asked for less degen mechanics and have also very clearly stipulated how they would like to reduce degen mechanics. They both asked for splits to be made impossible. If you’re going to behave like a little child please just don’t respond any further.

Not to take sides here, but I think all he said in his reply was that he disagreed with you, i.e:

You can disagree with him, but saying he’s a little child and that he should stop commenting is kind of poor behavior on your part, not his.

On topic; eh, not surprising I suppose. Especially late in an expansion after the race is over and there’s the long period of content drought it must be difficult to keep a guild together. That likely holds as true for regular guilds as it does for top guilds.

There is nothing wrong with what I said because his entire viewpoint is based on being a little child worshipping the “untouchable” top players which he worships so much. Next he will tell us that they are built differently. Once he grows up and understands that they are actual human beings and just like any other human being would prefer to put less effort in his opinion will be more relevant.

I find your tone to be very disrespectful and condescending, none of which is warranted given the simple reply of disagreement you got.

But be that as it may.
