Is there a way to skip the WoD intro quests in Tanaan? I just went through it with one alt, and have four more waiting to do the same…
There are two ways to skip the WoD intro. One is intended, the other, probably not. The latter is described in the link above. You most likely won’t get in trouble doing it (if it hasn’t been stealth hotfixed), but it’s technically an exploit.
The other, intended way is extremely cryptic and sounds like a playground videogame rumor from pre-internet times, but it is legit. You need to get your butt to Pandaria’s Timeless Isle. On the southern coast of the island, there is an underwater cave. Inside is a chair and a campfire. Sit in the chair and click the campfire. You will be transported to Gorgrond. From there you can just fly to Frostfire or Shadowmoon and your garrison setup quest will be waitimg for you.
That being said… The WoD intro is good XP. Even with all the RP, it’s probably one of the most time efficient bits of questing in the game.
I just read it, and it sounds very deliberate, to compensate for the loss of the Timeless Isle portal skip.
They have know about it since Alpha there is no exploit deleteing a quest and walking into a portal .
You need to be level 35 for this to work now .
Since the level revamp and the scaling issues its a slog now unless you are in a very good geared alt as looms are basically useless .
Thanks guys!
As my characters are lvl 43+++, I do not need to use Chromie time on them. I just got my Tailor/Enchanter ported to Eventide Bay in Shadowmoon simply by flying through the Dark Portal without any active WoD-quests. And then 3 more alts to go after this one.
(btw: My alts’s purpose is to skill up professions, not gain XP. At least not until they reach Legion/BfA where they starts to gain XP by doing content.)
Nah I kinda accidentally did it during BFA after using my boost.
I was still pretty new and wondered what’s behind the red portal. Since I didn’t know where I ended up and the dark portal wasn’t anywhere in sight I was pretty confused and just teleported back to a city.
Well you can also have a mage to make portal to warspear, and fly to frostridge and get quest at the exact location where punyelf Linked
