Skyriding - Auto-level

I might just be loosing it a little, but have they added a thing in TWW where skyriding mounts have a small “sticky” zone where they will fly “level”. its really hard to explain, but its a bit jarring for the normally rather organic flying im used to from DF.

If this is a new feature and im not loosing my mind, anyone know of a way to turn it off?

The most annoying thing about Skyriding is when you are about to land and see a mob … I just click 1-2-3 my spells to attack but the mount has its stupid flying abilities in 1-2-3… which I never use. I cant get rid of the stupid mount. I have to unclick it with the right button up there where the buffs are.

But, you use 1-2-3 and F1-F2-F3 etc? there are more buttons. How about Q-E-F-C-Z-X-? All buttons with abilities

Q-E-F-C-Z-X… ets are my defensive buttons.
I press 1-2-3… by instinct when I want to attack something while landing.

Is there a way to remove the mounts abilities bar? I dont want to use it. I just press SPACE SPACE BUTTON to fly.

Not an issue i’ve encountered. 1-2-3 are my main controls for skyriding, but in combat, that is interrupt, stun and aoe stun. Main combat abilities are on Q, A, G, V and others like that

You can move those buttons around, and also place your own abilities on the bar.

Mount up while on the ground, and drag them around. Place your normal opener on a suitable spot.

You could use something like Elv UI to move action bars around. Its always on action bar 1. So have your main combat abilities on Action bar 2 or any other and then it wont affect you

If i set it so that i dismount when pressing an attack key i die way more often than i should admit in public.

They do since prepatch, I hate it… wish there was a way to disable it.

Yes, no idea which person came up with this idea but whoever it was should be fired without notice. Such a dumb idea…

I bind “6” to my opening spell on the skyriding bar, that helps.

You’re not going crazy, it happens a lot to people who are gathering and flying around a lot. Some believe it’s linked to those boost trails between zones.
It’s sporadic and you either need to reload or relog to get rid of it.

Other option is make a /dismount macro and bind it to a button on your skyriding bar (as you don’t always want to attack something when you land).

Okay, glad im not going crazy

Ever thought of simply replacing them on the actionbar? That way you press 1 and it does what you’re used to + it dismounts you

Oooooooor just recast the mount to dismount.

I got my Mount set to MWheelUp on the 8th Hotbar. Skyriding swaps out the 1st Hotbar [your default 1-5+].
