SL Guardian Druid Mage Tower

Hi all, so I was on a break when the mage tower was available in Legion, now it’s finally become available again, anyone who has done it during Shadowlands, how difficult is it to complete? I’ve played a lot of Druid over the years, but very little tank, will I really struggle to complete the challenge as a new player to the spec? I really want the wearbear, as little importance as it has, I love it and was gutted to have missed out on the chance during Legion. So like I said, how difficult is the challenge to grasp? I see loads of players who have done it, but I have no idea of their experience or skill level. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks =)

What you’re asking is: how hard will it be FOR YOU? And nobody can answer that.

It will not be easy. A lot of people who play Guardian fairly regularly report doing hundreds of pulls. Here’s a typical thread:

If you are determined, though, you coukd prepare in advance by collecting Chromie Time or Timewalking or Socketed gear from old expansions, to make it a little easier

It’s easy to grasp. There are a few mechanics, but many times they’re happening at the same time, and the player can easily feel overwhelmed, or they’re very dangerous even just on their own. Having muscle memory for guardian certainly helps, as you’ll have a bunch of “oh crap” moments. You do need to plan your cooldowns tho, specifically in the second phase, where any minor mistake can easily result in a wipe.

The only way you break this wall is by running into it over and over. Practice and practice, it will likely take you dozens of pulls or more, but it is very doable once you get the hang of it.

Get some legion gear for your druid. The scaling of 60-> 50 gear was way off. It’ll be much easier, took me 4 whole tries.
