I just realized this on PTR!
If you want to do Cataclysm! You have to do for example Badlands, Westfall and those zones, you have to level in “classic” zones till 35lvl and then you can do Hyjal, Uludm, Highlands etc!
Please separate those two into “Classic” and “Cataclysm” Chromie time >.>
Cataclysm Zones can stand on their own since it’s 5 zones almost same with Draenor, Legion, Pandaria zones!
Please :c

I don’t know the story in the zones but seeing how Cata reworked a bunch of them I assume the story in them would relate to Azeroth during the period of Deathwing.
Therefor it makes sense as a campaign story.
If they’re not related at all then yeah, makes no sense, but I’ll assume I am right because I like that world more.

Yeah, but that means they will fit more than 20 zones into one 6 hours leveling experience
There aren’t any classic zones, because the questing in the existing zones was completely changed when Cataclysm was released.
Zones like Badlands and Westfall are in the Cataclysm Chromie time because they are Cataclysm zones.
It also means that set has by far the biggest amount of leveling dungeons available on the roster!

That’s why I put " " when putting Classic.
But don’t you think it’s shame that it’s 20 zones put into 6 hours leveling?
Story-wise no they can’t.
Blizzard made the truly baffling decision to rework the old zones to be part of the Cataclysm story, and so it makes the best sense to merge all of those zones together.

i want a classic alternative to level 10-50 cromie time
how hard can it be to make once we have classic servers even.

They can’t because 80+ cataclysm zones were designed with flying in mind and you don’t unlock flying until level 30 now so you can’t just start in those zones.

the map should change to cata when u hit level 30 but while 10-29 it uses vanilla map. the map landsacpe progress when ur chacther progres. Have u tryed to level in the old zones afther cata map rewamp ? so meny quests are broken now …

Ding ding ding here is the real reason for combining the 2. Both would have been alone enough for leveling and would make sense to be separate “expansions” even they did came in same one.

if u pick that u to level in Lich king zones does that meen we enter a time before cata map rewamp ? lore wise yes beciourse chromie time is time travel.
what kinda timetravel is timetravel what does not travel back in time line ?
Well, we got the official reason here from the Dragon herself.

Well yeah, the cataclysm zones span 5 levels.
Initially intended to get 1 level in each zone, if the 5 cata specific zones scaled 1:1 exp wise with Pandaland or Northrend or whatever for you to be able to do them from lvl 10-50 you’d ding every third quest or something ludacris lol
I think the 30 or 35 level lockout for the cata specific zones is good, and then you do 1-30 in the revamped cata/vanilla zones.
They should bring back Vanilla Zones prior to Cata for those wanting to level in Vanilla tbh.

I just think that ALL old zones should be available at level 10, no exceptions, just like BfA and Legion Zones, and in a perfect world Blizzard would’ve altered the way the flying-only zones are in order to allow ground mounts to work on them.
Why all zones should be available at 10? The reason is simple, currently, everyone go in the first zones available on each tier, the lowest level ones which are readily available once you hit the tier’s level, for example, Hyjal and Jade Forest at level 80, but leveling is so fast people just stick to these zones and they just level all the levels in the tier on them most of the times, the result is that zones like Hellfire Peninsula, Howling Fjord, Hyjal, Frostfire Ridge/Shadowmoon Valley are the only zones you see a substantial amount of people leveling on them, while higher level zones of their tiers are pretty much empty of players because there’s no reason to go to them, you can level all levels you need in just one zone and transitioning from one zone to another is just not efficient most of the times. One day i went to Hyjal and it was filled with players questing all over, then at the same time i visited old Uldum to find a very fitting desert.
I think having zones being empty is very wasteful, developers made music, terrain, quests, stories, etc. but all of that isn’t experienced a lot because so many of zones are just abandoned because they are higher level in their respective tier.

Isn’t flying at level 20?
Wait, you’re right level 30.
But… That’s the same timeline tho ?
Classic zones are in WoW Classic. all of the zones that where in vanilla Wow are now Cata zones.
lich king burnin crusade was before cata rewamp so picking LK chromie time ur time line is 2008-2009 world map so there is no cata map other whise it brakes lore so so bad …
and they can trow shadowlands in trash and never realice it …
