I got SL Beta and instantly rushed to check PvP vendors.
Currently in Oribos you have 3 PvP vendors :
- Purveyor Zo’kuul < Assessor of Conflict > - Honor Gear
- Zo’sorg < Master of Conflict > - Conquest Gear
- Aggressor Zo’dash < Facilitator of Conflict > - Rank upgrader (like benthic gear)
As for now PvP vendors only have to offer you 3 of the same items with different stats, but, unfortunately, not a combination of every double stat. Still will have to get some items from PvE for BIS? But still can get geared full from PvP it seems like.

I don’t get why it doesn’t offer every option. It would give PvE’ers a reason to try out arena and RBG’s for gear to potentially fill up slots they got unlucky on and it’s not like PvP’ers aiming for effeciency wouldn’t do at minimum M+ as well for quicker gear progress.
The only reason limited pieces worked pre-Legion was due to PvP stats or inflated ilvl inside PvP instances. There was no other great option without taking a loss in effectiveness.
Yeah, we know this and we are trying to fight this off.
I don’t want all stats, just need one.
A pvp Stat like pvp power or resilience.

well as ww i like seeing vers. I hope tho that vers won’t be the best stat for ww however.
Can you by anyway see already the mythic ilvl of raid gear? and how often you can upgrade the gear?
I mean obviously without pvp stat it’s undeniable. you gotta need to do pve for items which have BIS stats. at the same time however you can buy just mythic gear from a vendor for PvE.
I forsee the complaining already that some people feel forced to do pvp

Unfortunately, this information is unknown yet.

Why is there crit on PvP items? Is there any spec that wants a half stat?

Bajheera says it’s probably not the final stats, but tbh even if it stay like that I would not be surprised
It was so naive to think that pvp vendor would give you every stat combination. That would make pvers farm pvp so hard. Blizzard doesn’t want them to do it.

I personally didn’t expect anything. With this post I just wanted to give a heads-up to people without beta who are browsing through EU arena forums.
Unfortunately, for us, PvP fans in this game, PvP is considered as a “mini-game”. Probably around only 10-15% of WoW’s player’s base actively play PvP.
If I would be in Blizzard’s position I would for sure try to satisfy the needs of my even 10-15% customer audience.
I am personally happy since I know I would like to play some alts, but would not grind as much on them as I do on my shaman aka main. For example, in BFA I didn’t even bother with alts past leveling them to max.
How is this different than what we had before in WoD? I checked the vendor from WoD to see if I was maybe not remembering it correcly, but I was. The PvP vendor never had, in my recollection, all stat combinations for sale. I also can’t recall that people really complained about that back then.

Because we had PvP stats on them before WoD, so if you used some pve gear to do a bit more dmg, you also lost damage reduction
In WoD the PvP items scaled up in instanced pvp making it the best to use in pvp.
Ye, I know that. But that doesn’t change the fact that we never had all secondary stat combinations available.
If the PvP items are upgradable to directly compete with Mythic raid items, in a reasonable timeframe, it would function the same as getting scaled up in the end.
This expansion still is make or break for me when it comes to PvP gearing, I can’t stomach another 2 years of PvE. I have hopes, the medaillon as a trinket slot coming back is a most welcome change. They should also give it a % damage reduction from players again for wearing 2.
It is true, but in right now, when we have zero diffirence between PvE and PvP gear, PvP gear should have some benefits for PvP players. And since we don’t get back pvp power as a means to distinguish pvp from pve gear, PvP gear with ideal stat combination would be a good help for PvP players.
If that situation will force PvE players to farm PvP gear…well who cares, we as PvP players had to farm PvE gear for two Xpac in the row.

I agree with that 100%. I was quite disapointed when I read that the whole PvP power wasn’t implemented again. It all might work out in the end, but then the iLvL has to be the same as mythic raiding.
Ion said completing a mythic15 dungeon is as hard as getting 2400 in pvp, so i think the reward will be the same as it is now item lvl wise.
Maybe it will be entirely different with the “new” upgrade feature
who knows
Still see no point to use PvP vendor as casual PvP-r. Easiest way to do M+ and get the same top PvP gear. Dunno why there is anything worse than ranked gear. If u get blue gear u get roflstomped by ranked players or PvE players, why? What a point?
Because in Wod we had pvp power which increased ilvl of items above Pve items in pvp.
So you didn’t need to spamm Pve, which we will in shadowlands.
If, if, if.
That’s getting annoyed, only ifs, all of those fixed with one thing a pvp Stat.
If Mythic gear and pvp gear are the same you will still be at a disadvantage VS pvers, in your own environment.
It makes no sense anyway you try to paint it.
Put it on reverse, and imagine pvp gear being the best for Pve. The outcry would be immense.

this problem should have more attention in my opinion. for example with the current options in bfa my shadow could equip ONE offpart…all other offparts have wrong stats on it. So a pvp vendor would not solve any problems . They have a system where you can chose your legendaries offstats why not implement it for pvp too?
Here’s another thing, PVE guys just don’t have enough people for raids and m+, and in game there are a lot of PVP people who can feel the gaps for them. Imagine if PVP players just stop doing that content, no tanks/heals whatsoever. So we’re no more than an entertainment for PVE players, that is so sad
