Well boosting slave pens will already get you upto level 67 there will probably be more solo boosting found via testing infact with 2 mages you can duo almost any dungeon as long as you can sheep ranged damage dealers

I think you will see some mages selling this boost already in week 1

Possible yes, but what’s the point?

Guess, why are lvling boosts so prevalent in Classic, and the 58 boost so widely accepted?
Because leveling in classic sucks!

Its long winded, its tedious, it’s completely impossible to do efficiently without using a guide because the quests are all over the place, it involves LOADS of downtime, its mostly boring af “kill X, gather Y” quests, you spend half your time running around at crawling speed, and the rewards are mostly crap. On top of that, it’s ridiculously unbalanced: Warlocks and Hunters get a free pass, Warriors can add another 30% lvlingtime just for eating. Dungeons are almost never worth doing, because of the time spent running to them and the mediocre rewards.

The leveling journey from 58 - 70 is easily soloable, straightforward, quick, provides good gear, is embedded in an overarching story-arch. The classes are much better balanced, you don’t spend a ridiculous amount of time traveling, and dungeons are where you are in the relevant leveling range, provide great gear, and omgwhat, I actually get the quests for the dungeons of area X in area X? WoW!

My point is:
Boosting in TBC will be possible, but way less prevalent.

You also forgot you earn a lot of gold doing the leveling in TBC.

Boost will still happend at level 10->58 during TBC. But most people will rather level solo/dungeon grind at 58->70. Boost will exist at these levels but way less prevelant like Sorzza says.

Would think boosts in ZG, scholo and strat etc would still be viable for first lvls in tbc

Could be if it’s efficient enough. Doubt ZG will be efficient with aoe cap on mages. Strat/Scholo by paladin boosters might be good.

Dungeon xp in TBC is pretty bad, waste of time even if doable.

Any proof to back that claim up?

The numbers were really off in TBCC beta at start. Even leveling on quests gave close to no XP.

It’s a beta for a reason. We will see how it looks when it goes live.

My reply was to Zumbakumbo - from what I have seen the solo rates are acceptable, and for me personally will be a possibility, if my guild has no 5 mans going and all the quest mobs are being spawn killed, making questing the slowest XP gain.

Having someone boosting you through Slave Pens is not going to be faster than questing unless you’re using Athene strategies. XP on TBC beta is currently bad, that’s the only proof I have and the only proof I need unless something changes.

Yes Slave Pens(and possibly other dungeons) boosting will be possible and everywhere in TBC and Blizzard will do nothing about them.

Because it will be a good excuse to legitimize the level 70 boost that will be added later on.

Speaking from 17 years of WoW and 30 years of overall MMO gaming experience. Never fails me.
Have fun. Btw, WTS slave pens boost 30g/run.

Just play the damn game ffs

Seeing all those Mages, spamming selling boosts in public channels, is pathetic. How much you have to hate the game, if all you do is AoE grind.
Even with an addon, my ignore list is full. At least make ignore list much bigger, so I don’t have to interact with lame players ever again.

Everyone complain about bots. But Mage boosting, is the main problem.
