Slow down, please

As the pandarens say: slow the actual F down. Why do people rush in this game? Will the loot go away? Will the boss take a loo break if you don’t appear asap?

Why do tanks treat every single dungeon as M+ where you need to do 20 mins content in 2 seconds? I honestly want to get into healing, but if every dungeon is like this even on lvl 70, then F this :poop:. I know we want everything asap, I know, we are spoiled by modern life, but this is ridiculous. Honestly ridiculous.

Please, I beg to the tanks, to slow down a bit. You don’t have to pull mobs one by one, but rushing through 3 rooms leaving the dps and healer behind out of sight out of mind is not normal. Just slow down a little.

Nobody gives a flying F about the time, if you have to rush to work or anything: DON’T JOIN A DUNGEON.

Cheers :clinking_beer_mugs:

I get what you’re saying but as a tank in a pug you’re either too slow and people pull more and moan or they moan that you’re too fast and that you caused the wipe.

It’s honestly one of the things that turns me away from pugging.

What I do like to do is make my own group and advertise it as chill and new player friendly. That way I can try and settle into a pace that suits the group and everyone has a nice time.

This is not something that is going to ever change by asking the players to kindly please stop.

The only way to put an end to it is increasing the difficulty of these joke dungeons to the point you will be punished if you try to mindlessly just blow through them.

Then Blizzard need to step up their game… I can’t imagine a brand new player staying as a support if that person gets into a dungeon with diarrhoea people. This is why people abuse the living :poop: out of others who don’t act like they have to be world first at this game.

As much as I enjoy being immortal as a prot warrior, I don’t pull the whole bloody dungeon on my head and :poop: on the rest of the team. As someone who wanted to tank in DF, I honestly say to punish the tanks. Period.

This is not only about the behaviour in dungeons anymore… I’ve just read elsewhere that someone already spammed 27 M+ in order to get a weapon. In THREE DAYS since release.

Others claimed to have been renown 18 to 20 a week ago already. Which on itself is pretty questionable given the time gated WQs, but… the statement itself might lead a lot of people to think they’re way behind again, so they start rushing, too. This is madness.

I have been saying this exact same thing for a long time now. It’s no wonder the game can’t pull in new players if the very parts that are supposed to introduce you to the game are left to be abhorrent.

Sadly faster runs = more chance of loot/gold so alot of tanks/dps have the go fast mentality because they are wanting to make as much gold/loot per hour.

If you are wanting to get into a certain role, are new to the game etc it is normally best to make a pre-made dungeon party so that everyone knows the situation.

Had a new player being a tank yesterday in a dungeon took it at normal pace until he said something so we changed how we played to help him. Sadly being a level 11 prot pally he couldn’t tank the first boss properly and caused a few wipes, even after some advice from others and another wipe everyone but myself just left.

Sadly no one really cares if you are new to the game or role your playing they want fast dungeons (Outside of mythic +) as they expect everyone to know everything the second they install the game and if that doesn’t happen they just leave and join another dungeon regardless of the wait time.

Unfortunately, that’s what dungeons are all about. Everything fast quickly, as much as possible, as soon as possible, you have to use the super uber shortcut, the boss has to fall in time, quickly the next pack of creatures. If you do something wrong because you are a tank or a healer, don’t worry, the rest will surely inform you that you are wasting their time, that you are doing something wrong and you are a noob. Of course, in the most vulgar way.

I personally have such experience as a tank and this is not content for me. I’m doing a normal to see what the dungeon looks like. Maybe heroic to get gear, but not anymore, because I’m not going to bother and listen to frustrated people whose life motto is fast fast and insulting others.

WQs is not the only way to get renown. You could do grand hunts 24/7 for Cenatur rep which is why a lot of us are at renown 25 with them, it just took about 15~ hours. You could farm dirt piles with dragonscale, which is why a lot of us are 22+ with them.
You could farm relics for Valdrakken. You could farm fish for Tuskarr.

Sounds about right, I’ve done 24 Court of Stars to get my ring & trinket.

Tank is too fast if healer dies or tank dies.

Lots of people care about time. We have a limited amount of it, and much to do both in game and in real life. That is however not the only reason to rush: Going faster might be more of a challenge and more fun.

Instead of asking/demanding/expecting random others to be and think like you, how about making or seeking out a community of like-minded players.

Randoms will be randoms, and each individual will play and act according to his view, not yours.

My post wasn’t about the possibilities to farm renown but the time it takes and how people waste entire days of their life to finish season content in two to three weeks.

Well congs if you have that much time to play during the week (within three days in particular), but it’s still not healthy. Nor is it normal. At least not for an adult with a job / family / rl.

Interestingly I haven’t encountered toxic people tbh, nobody is talking actually. You say “hi” and majority of people just sits there quietly. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I have a full time job as well and limited time for gaming, yet no reason to rush like crazy. The loot won’t disappear if you get to the boss 2 minutes later…

More of a challenge for who?

Didn’t ask anyone to submit to my will and do as I want them to do. But if they want rush rush rush to get to max as soon as possible, maybe Blizzard should release a booster for a couple hundred to get M+ ready gear and lvl from lvl1. I’m not entirely sure about it, but I have a feeling that not everyone wants to do the endgame content asap… if that’s your job as a content creator, fine, you benefit of it, but peasants like majority of the playerbase is just average Joes and Janes who plays a game, not a second job.

This is true I agree, people always complain lol there is also always a Leeroy who pulls then try’s to blame the tank for pulling and wipes the whole group LEEROOYYY! The tank is usually a scapegoat for everything I have not personally experienced much of this lol but other tanks always get SO MUCH AGGRROOOOO OFF OTHER PEOPLE HA

Who made the tanks to be this way? I might be wrong but I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem if people wouldn’t treat lvling/normal/hc dungeons as M25+ with timer on their a$$es… I’m also sure that players have more than 2 braincells and have “v” pressed with the nameplates and healthbars on. If the pack dies quickly, you pull a bit more, and a bit more, but you keep in mind that if you run out to the Shadowlands, the healer won’t back you up.

A tank yesterday kept pulling pack after pack until we couldn’t reach them and died like 3 times. But they kept on doing it and when asked to slow down, the response was: “I watched a lot of MDI, this is how the tanks do it”.
