Sadly, it does not worked for me.
The whole downloading speed went from 15kbit/sec to 0 with this… lol 
But, I found another solution:
Find the wow.exe in the retail folder, run that. Do NOT log in the game, just exit it. Now, run the battle.net, and it almost instantly finished it for me from 50%.
