Hey friends!
I’ve been playing WoW on and off for the last few years, while I have had never issues like these before on this computer.
Every time I enter a new area by logging in the game, flying to a new location, teleporting whatsoever, the game has to load all the textures. This causes extreme frame drops in huge cities like Stormwind or making my character invincible by mounting up for half a minute. It’s REALLY annoying. I have to wait for a good minute or 2 every time before I continue walking/flying in a new area.
I’m kinda lost on what to do. So far I tried:
- Reinstalling the game twice.
- Reloading UI (through the help/FAQ/page I found)
- Playing with and without addons
- Tweaking game settings (no antialiasing/shading etc)
- Drivers are up to date
- I have a 3TB HDD where WoW is installed, I have around a 1TB free space
- Internet connection is 250MB/s and upload 80, can’t be the problem
- Lowering game settings won’t help (graphics, still has the same issue)
PC specs:
MSI GTX780
i5 4670k
8gb ram
1000GB free space on HDD
Windows 10 up to date with nvidia drivers up to date
