Small ears elves

The teal eyes were one of the more legitimate colors according to dataminers.

Still unconfirmed but teal is not technically blue so it wouldn’t conflict with Ion’s statement regardless of how blue they appear in direct sunlight. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ears and eyebrows seem to be elven racial thing

LOL

Not that I mind really. Just a lot of contrasting info out there.

I am particularly puzzled about the small ears.

I mean… halfbreeds? :open_mouth:

THAT ONE would certainly have to be for NPCs, then?

(P.s. I really do not mind, Blizz can do with their characters and game whatever they like! But it seems odd right now, especially since there was a lot of talking about such smaller ears as a mean to make Silver Covenant offshots playable on Alliance side just these past weeks!)

I do not mind the choice but also have to wonder.

There is literally only one adult Half Elf in this entire game that we know of and because of that I don’t see why they would add two extra options when one would have sufficed.

But we’ll see. I don’t think Blizzard cares all that much about their racial lore so it’s possible that they’re offering us more variety.

I’d expect an ear slider for Night Elves too if these are indeed intended for the players.

I have always really liked that WoW elves took the pointed ear thing and went crazy with it. It is so iconic to me now.
The stump ears are a bit sad looking in conparison but whatever I will just keep rocking the long ears and eyebrows.

Well I thought they be getting ears that looked one ear looked like half the ear been chopped off in battle, or had battle scars or ears going to the sides or something.

I think a lot of us clearly value the long iconic ears. Options are always good though. Maybe the shorter ears cause less clipping with helms :woman_shrugging:

It is good for people to have options, they can roleplay as a beggar Blood Elf now

I am waiting for Blizzard to give a bald head to every elf but I keep getting disappointed…

Quess you didn’t see the entire data mining stream Jesi. When Stiven looked at the Draenai and Zandalari eyes, they had the same eyes as void and blood elves so he wasn’t sure anymore which eyes belonged to which race. So he told the wowhead team maybe its better to wait until the official announcement comes.

And also you might have missed this.

But as I said it better we wait and see what comes on the alpha/beta than what dataminers can show us because most the stuff is in the datamining is a mess and Im not blaming the dataminers for that, I think blizzard did that on purpose to make things harder for dataminers.

That would look just as weird to me… but then again, as said before - Blizzard’s choice, and if a player does not like them, they can just keep using the old model.

My point being, since the choice of ears IS a feature for all other races with big ones, I always thought it was not too crazy to hope for such a feature for the elves as well, despite of also believing it was very unlikely to happen.

But I always thought it would be about very different shapes or tilt - not the size - as this is a very iconic WoW trait.

For instance, I would hope for a more elegant shape for the male night elves, as the one they have now feels somewhat chunky compared to the females.

It seems that no one has made that post yet, so I don’t want you to feel like theres something missing :
THIS IS THE END OF WOW, small ear bloodelf will destroy WoW, thanks alot Blizz

I would rather have a longer ear option than a short ear option. Blood Elves with Night Elf tier ear size would be cute

Now we can make small ear jokes.

Pretty much this really.

I mean sure, more options, but this seems kind of weird if it is aimed to the players.

Or at least I hope it comes with some explanation!

They should get shorter eyebrows! Not ears :joy:

Elves use eyebrows to sense environment.
