Therefor I wonder if anyone got a 60% keyboard?
I was curious about your experience which a 60% layout keyboard. Currently I have a Steelseries Apex pro keyboard and using keybinds with Ctrl feels very clunky for me or is that very common?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a keyboard with smaller keys. Smaller keyboards, yes, but not small keys.
Get a bluetooth one for tablet they’re tiny. And let me know how the experiment went.
Maybe you could practice stretching. I’m a guitarist, believe me if I say your hand is capable of more than you think.
Tried a bunch.
Most 60% have the same sized keys and same spacing as their larger counterparts in the same series. Even between brands not much difference at all.
Same keys, same distance, same size. just less of them. So in that case a 60% is not really worth it.
Using LCtrl will feel weird if you’re not used to it and even when you’re used to it you’ll still feel a bit clunky since you often have to curl up your finger to reach it and the pinkie finger is always a bit… well pinkie…
I usually find notepad style keyboards to be more comfortable and easier compared to mechanical ones for the pinkie finger since it’s often easier on a notepad style keyboard to get an input response from the keyboard from using less force or even by just glancing the button.
But it comes at the cost of all keys being like that and they often break quickly from long hours of gaming.
And I swear to god it’s always Lshift and Lctrl that breaks… every time.
Can’t really offer much help tbh.
Lctrl is my least favorite key ^^
Might be worth checking out Ducky keyboards, they are really small and are top notch quality.
Yeah, I have the same problem with this where if I try to use control or shift modifiers I just end up hurting my hand!
I got a keyboard which has programmable keys to the left of the main keyboard. I can reach some of those more easily with my pinkie than the control and shift keys so I have put some abilities on those. I suppose I could have also programmed one into a control or shift key to use it as a modifier too… Hmm, maybe I should redo all my keybinds…?
You might also find an MMO mouse with lots of buttons is useful? I have a mouse with only a few buttons and those come in handy quite a lot
something like https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Portable-Professional-Industrial-Computer/dp/B07DZZWD9W
For example?
Or
Razer Huntsman Mini
Oh yeah.
I don’t bind lctrl unless I the game forces me and even then I usually use it for something non-essential.
Shift is usually my go-to binder it’s a bit clunky but I’ve always used it so it’s like breathing to me now.
Also started using Caps Lock as a key bind. Works surprisingly well.
A mouse with bindable keys is a must if ask me.
Have you considered a gamepad instead? Something like the Razer Orbweaver or Tartarus? Or heck, an Azeron?
Friend of mine (also with small hands) had a blast with the Orbweaver, but recently switched to Azeron, which she enjoys even more. You will need a keyboard alongside those, if you want to type, but for playing your role, they’re both great.
Hazelnutty has a nice video about the Orbweaver, in a WoW context:
Have you tried becoming president?
ducky keyboard are amazing for me so far. have had some small keyboards because of keybinds and all those crt/alt/shift methods.
