Are we getting archeology this expansion?

I remember reading somewhere that they had plans on reworking it entirely, but they probably ditched the idea because they were short in time.
They couldn’t even finish the class reworks for TWW launch so imagine how low on the priorities list is archaeology 
All it’s stuff is on the TP.
Is wear Archeology needs a rework though. The constant stab a needle in the ground and red light green light is annoying.

All they needed to do was make Archeology zones not too big (and make some in older expansions smaller), had the Legion improvements, had more zones/sites active, keep adding new items once in a while and it would have been good for me.
If they rework it… they better not bring that garbage excavation and technoscrying. That was absolute crap.
Also… they don’t have to re-invent it or let us level every new expansion. Heck, if it fits: add old cultures to the new stuff…
That being said, its an American company and the way they dealt with excavations in DF (as in: asking permission of the locals to dig 
) I doubt, we’ll see much Archeology in the future.

I do hope to see it given some love and attention again in the future.
Even Blizzard woke up to the fact Archy was dead on delivery. Can’t blame them for not trying to resuscitate a corpse. Personally glad they are not bothering with it. One less waste of time to try and fix/maintain.
They trying rework. But wondered why took so long
they just need to make it a profession
something like a dungeon proff, that requires you to do delves or dungeons to progress it
rewards could be gear that provides delve benefits rather than the usual Toys or pets
We kind of got an archeology minigame in DF but that’s as close as we got to a revamp probably.
Maybe it will come back some day. Who knows.
