So can we finally put the "not enough quests in vanilla" legend to rest?

Woah, chill lol, no need for personal attacks just because someone disagrees with you.

It’s sarcasm bud, no offence intended

I’ve still been grinding instead of quests(first time ive done this though) simply because I dont want to do quests that are for my level, no green quests left though.

Im just trying to have fun though, I dont like to travel too much etc

its not that blizz didnt want quests but thats how all mmorpgs back then worked .

yes there were scarse quests but majority of leveling back in 2000 was grinding - it was industry standard and WoW was extremly innovative because they put elaborate questlines and lore into game itself.

ill give you example how quests looked like in games like Lineage or Silkroad

quest at level 20 - kill 1200 green tigers 200 blue tigers 20 elite tigers and 1 huge tiger boss

they were just excuse for grinding - lets say killin all those mobs gave you 70% of level and revard given you 10% extra

but overall it was grind grind grind

if you played other games back then you would know it.

Maybe my phrasing wasn’t clear, probably should have written something like “quests were not planned”. English is not my main. And yeah, it’s pretty well known fact that devs, specially Kaplan, played EQ and some other mmo’s, and anyone with the slightest knowledge of MMO/gaming history knows how MMOs were back then.

So much this .
With later patches came more quest .
If you started wow day one you could not quest to 60 simple as that.
