It got fixed So we got bigger buff today than just flat 5%. Maybe i can beat tanks now haha Seriously though why did it take this long for them to fix it if its been reported long time ago
For why things take that long I mostly assume priority and work load. This is minor and they only have so many developer running around (see release delay). All i really wish for would be more communication from blizzard.
Like: Hey guys Chaos Strike is currently bugged and we will fix that in time for Mythic Raid just sit tight. would go along way =)
Still seems to be not fixed if we are to believe Wowhead tooltip is correct: mainhand strike should be almost twice stronger(x1.71) than the other one, but my CS shows a ratio of about 1.24 - first strike hits around 780-840, and second one 610-660
At the same time my Fel Rush hits about 600, which suggests even the weaker hit of Chaos Strike is a lower than it should be
p.s. Also my Immolation Aura shows some crazy numbers on the tooltip - 1746 dmg on use and 390 dmg per second, but in practice only does about 400 instant dmg and ~150 periodic dmg. When switching to Vengeance the tooltip changes to 907/404, but real damage on target dummies is still the same…
Mmh, my chaos say it hits for about 1600 dmg, I do 850 with main and 750 with off… more or less, about immo you are right, the initial dmg is nowhere near what the tooltip say… we have to know if mobs have certain resistance to fire dmg IMO. Still, after the patch chaos strike does more damage
