What are your thoughts on destro rn? Do you recommend it as a main or?

i dont do pvp, but as it stands pve its worse than the other classes as it gets punished the hardest with movement when it comes to ST. (madness buff uptime)
Ontop of that you lose dps if you dont have enough haste to cast Incerates between Chaos bolts
PvP as destro right now is probably the most fun I’ve had with the spec since MoP and S8, mostly due to bane of havoc and mayhem combo.
Am in no means a good PvPer but in random BGs and epic BGs you are topping the charts almost every single time and in rated arena it feels good to be able to dish dmg without barely casting anything due to instants.
My only gripe is that survivability could be buffed a little bit, like drain life could actually be useful and not outdamaged by one bleed.
could you explain? the talent is grayed out for me if I pick it with mayhem
I don’t PvP, but I imagine they’re referring to the PvP talent Bane of Havoc.
It is greyed out but it works, don’t worry about it. The PvP talent requires “havoc” so when you pick “Mayhem” it doesn’t register thus PvP talent gets greyed out BUT mayhem eventually applies havoc so it works.
Now I am not a coder/software developer but I do low-code automation stuff. I feel like I could easily solve this, which is ill news 'cuz it means they either don’t give a rat’s a.ss about PvP or they are VERY under staffed.
