Seeing as how you need to do the full campaign, and completing it gives enough xp to reach 60. Also since dungeons don’t give upgrades until like lvl 57. Am I missing something?

Gear is worthless in any other circumstances than a max level character. Then it’s just a matter of chosing where you want to get your exp point from.
But yeah, since you pretty much need to finish the storyline here, it wouldn’t only be pointless, it could literally be detrimental to your progression in the Xpac.

Not pointless. You can have some fun too. If gear is your only point in playing then yes I guess so.
The whole point of max gear is End game, and you arent max level.
You can do it to just enjoy the story and get the other items. I guess it depends on how you wish to enjoy the game.

It’s not a foreign concept for dungeon and questing gear being useless trash to people decked out in raiding gear. Congratulations on figuring that out. The gear is catered towards people that have just reached level 50, not people that have played for BfA for 2 years and geared up. Really not a difficult concept to grasp.

not difficult but making this game booring if you cannot get a single upgrade untill level 57 - even if you did nothing but world content in BfA.
i imagine mythic raiders dont get a single upgrade till level 59 -_-

I did a couple side quests and still had to grind like 4 mobs to be able to continue the campaign. will probably do a dungeon or 2 tomorrow to prevent this from happening again.
Once you have 1 char at max level who has joined their covenant, you can go on any alt and choose ‘Threads of Fate’ and you can dungeon grind all the way to 60, once you have done the Maw intro quest to shadowlands. Plus you’re given your covenant choice at lvl 50 once you get to Oribus. It’s amazing. You can skip everything once you have done it all once and one char.
yes but why are we forced to suffer on our mains if blizzard cant design a decent storyline and decent leveling experience

Thats your opinion, but I liked the story lines in Shadowlands questing.

That is definitely not true, did multible side quests during the leveling and i barely got 60 before campaign was over in warmode even, so maybe if you have the alliance war mode with 30% bonus XP, else, no campaign alone won’t be giving you 60.
They do if you level 10-60. Keep in mind if you played bfa, then you are insanely overgeared for your level and leveling dungeons should always be scaled around leveling players so we don’t have these insane jumps every expac you move up.
Trust me if i took my fresh 50 hunter into leveling dungs, then i would get upgrades, but my mythic geared characters are not getting anything until yea 57-58.
They do serve a leveling purpose on your alts as you can level through dungeons on them and dungeons do give a lot of xp.
