A level boost was included in the preorder, to the max level at the time, or -10 from the new max level. I don’t think I need to explain to you why including a level boost to the new max level with the expansion purchase isn’t a thing.
You’re wrong. You only got a boost if you preordered the epic edition. Standard only gave you the expansion and the ability to play a void elf death knight before launch.
Get your facts straight.
Actually it was the heroic edition that included the level boost.
Get your facts straight.
Just give everyone a level boost, problem solved
what about money, do you also want money back on the purchase?
Won’t somebody think of the poor billionaire corporation?
You’re already paying them, why would they need to sweeten anything for you? The free stuff is there to rope in players who left.
No money no game, no game no business, no business no income, no income more people let go, more people let go more unemployment, more unemployment less jobs for everybody, less jobs for everybody less income for families, less income less spending, less spending on shops prices increases on shelves, prices increases create unrests.
Now, maybe it’s not all doom and gloomy as I described but it gives you an idea of those “multibillionaire companies” do to the people working for them.
Okay - but there was an implicit second part to that question which is why do you want it?
Why wouldn’t I like an option to skip through the boring slog of chromie timewalking
Holy crap,
If there was a competition for ‘make a whine out of this news’ the forum users would be olympic level.
This is a promotion for Shadowlands. You’re already in Shadowlands, happily playing it. It’s not a promotion for FotM-rerolling.
It’s as Dejarous says. On the one hand there’s nothing wrong with us getting a boost, other than of course the problems with boosts in general, but there’s also nothing wrong with us not getting one. The promotion isn’t for us, it’s for others who might want to come.
Some people get extra stuff as a pick-me-up or a promotion to try something you might have already paid for in order to rope them into spending money on it like you do, and to covet what they get is not really something that’s very… well, it doesn’t make you right. It’s sort of like complaining about free ice cream sample stands, in this case particularly because they get little toys with the samples.
I can understand that it is a marketing tactic, but it must be a damn good one to have consumers defend it for free on top.
I don’t see the problem.
I never bought SL, was gonna wait until it went below 19,99€. A few times it got close!
But then all of the sudden Blizz wants to give it to me for free.
And with a boost included! That’s very nice of them
So once I’m done with Wotlk, I might check out this SL thing a little more.
So thanks again Blizz!
Why the clown face?
Oh well.
Look, fundamentally it’s simple - I don’t need a 4th unused boost to pile into my account anyway, but what I do need is people to play with and talk to the game about, and it would also be nice if Blizzard got their reputation back so I didn’t have to be embarrassed about it, so I’m happy for them to pull off whatever stunt they think is needed to attract new players. Sue me.
Clowns are happy. I’m happy
Okay, so?
Selfish reasoning.
I don’t play retail, I play classic.
However I would’ve liked the boost and maybe check out the game with a different class.
Guess you lost someone to play with either way then.
Tbh I think they should have offered this to anyone who starts a subscription, it’s unlikely SL could bring any one back, but it could have atleast allowed an outsider to indulge their curiosity.
Instead they’re charging like £130 for some dumb bundle of Shadowlands and Dragonflight
Of course it is, its Asjon.
He sleeps with a Bobby Kotick pillow he’s so obsessed with the guy.
Blizzard created customers like the OP
Its the same energy as people gatekeeping rewards behind ludicrous difficulty
noooo you can’t make the game easier and more accessible nooooo
