I just realized that according to their data, there are more blood elves than there are alliance.
So we do a little maths lesson. That site, which is not correct, and I will come onto that in a moment, states that 24% of people play Blood Elves, and 30 % of people play Alliance. Now neither of those figures are correct, however that doesn’t mean more people play Blood Elves than Alliance. By definition…I mean check out the numbers again. 24 and 30.
-If- there were one hundred players, and 30 play Alliance, and 24 play Blood Elf, then how do you work out that more people play Blood Elf, than Horde?
Now, that site is inaccurate.
Check out the numbers involved. Those are not Blizzard statistics, those are statistics based on only people in the US servers who have downloaded a particular Add On, that provides census information to that company who have nothing to do with Blizzard. It -only- sends the information if you download that Add on, and then furthermore authorise them to send the information.
That is about as valid a demographic as “I asked three people and two of them play Horde, there fore 66.6% of all WoW players play Horde! BIAS!”
Okay, so I know Americans can get hysterical, and will believe any old tat based on made up statistics on the internet, but really Retributor, you should fact check these things first, before looking a bit foolish…
Know what I was also able to find, just by typing in Argent Dawn EU Population numbers?
Oh yes, go to Wowrealmpopulation-dot-com, look up Realm statistics, and select Argent Dawn
Check those numbers out, and explain to me that these websites are accurate in any way? I mean It should surely show 1 Horde player, I was online, I saw several hundred other players online, and that was just in one zone…

Orcs did not slaughter elves for Eons. They haven’t been on Azeroth that long and only invaded Quel’thalas once.
Horde Trolls at the time had never slaughtered Elves, or had not even met them, because the Darkspear were not the Trolls who did, that was the Amani, who lets be fair, had good reason.
So neither of your statements with reference to the horde, are correct.

How on earth is that supposed to make sense, one race from one setting can one shot a member of the same race (Though actually totally different, Warhammer’s Orcs are more like Botani, they are living fungi) in a different setting, where the two will never meet. What are you on about?
So what we have is two sets of fibs wrapped up with serious sounding titles, neither of which are true.
And some people wonder why we can never take these ‘Bias’ threads seriously? At least look up the post you quote, rather than just click the title!

Don’t get me wrong, we have many crazy theories here in the topic - but also some actual evidence which suggesting this. Newest discussion I have read is about Ion’s speech pattern in talking about WoW at BlizzCon 2019 and how the Alliance is never addressed in the continuing story - but I’ll have to check this out for myself at a later point.

Don’t you think the coolest race ever Mechagnome is a proof of Alliance hate among Blizzard staff, I think Mechagnome alone is enough to prove that there is a biased attitude among them.
If people have been migrating to Horde from Alliance since especially Legion’s launch then there is definitely an external factor encouraging this behaviour, and in my opinion that external factor is Blizzard staff.
It has been almost 4 years, this snowball effect started with removal of Human Racial (excluding MoP Horde racial advantages), by taking away Alliance’s PvP advantage Blizzard made Horde a place for both PvP and PvE players, then continued by giving less appealing allied races to Alliance. Consequently there are only a few high end PvP and PvE players left on Alliance side.
I told you, my Alliance guild on Silvermoon swapped to Twisting Nether Horde side. Silvermoon is a server among top 3 for Alliance players alongside the RolePlay servers I guess. My guild was not a world first competitor guild but they were able to progress in Mythic Ny’alotha raid soon after the launch which means we were above Heroic Level.
Mechagnome was the last nail to the coffin, I tried to stop it but no… shills came to that thread and said;
“One mans trash, anothers treasure. I am happy to get Mechagnomes.”.
Now I don’t see any Trashgnome around me, in Boralus, Stormwind, Dalaran… They are nowhere to be found. It turns out it was everyman’s trash and no one’s treasure.

Since we’re talking about mechagnomes of all my game play i’ve maxxium seen one of two maybe even 3 level 120 mechagnomes and i do quite a few m+ and other content with other players so barelly anyone like the gnomes so why coulen’t we get a race we wanted instead like High elves they have what it takes to be a new race to us And if they won’t soon be added to the Alliance then more and more will either go horde or unsub to play other mmorpgs.

I only know that thay race changed to Troll for BoD Jaina raid encounter and not because of Berserking but because of Voodoo shuffle. Which is a racial that majority of players forgot about.
Maybe you should stop wanting crap from the Horde. Crap you already got, by the way.

Let’s have a look at all Alliance AR:
Void Elves weren’t asked for but they do their job. What the race needs a worgen-like transformation into a Helf.
LF Draenei weren’t really requested but they have a bigger lore behind them. They are okay but need some fine-tuning to their looks.
Dark Iron Dwarves were highly requested for years and they delivered
Kul Tirans were not requested but they added them anyway. Good race, partly new rig (for Ogres in the future) and based on the Pandaren model.
Mechagnomes were not asked for but we got them. Low-effort race.
Racials
Velves are good for almost every class
LFD good against Demons, AoE-spell
DID are nearly insane thanks to Fireblood. On top of that a free 1-hour teleport to almost every known location in the game
Mechagnomes extremely good for PVP and PVE. On top of that Self-Heal, Worktool for every profession and insane main stat bonus.
However, let’s have a look at the Horde:
HMT. Not requested but lore-wise most people are attached to them. Somewhat good racials
NBs were requested and people are attached to them. Bad racials overall. Infamous “bad” model.
Mag’har Orcs have been requested for a long time. Okay racials.
ZT have been requested a long time. Good racials and model.
Vulpera have been requested since they have been known. Former OP-Racial (+10% damage to demi-human) has been removed for bags-upgrade. Their tent functions as a teleport which is actually very nice but nothing compared to the DID.
Overall:
Horde got almost everything they wanted.
Alliance not so much due a very bad time frame release. Sethraks or another fantasy race would have made more sense. At top of that, the Alliance suffers from the human-syndrome. They need more diversity in their ranks.

Ankorans would be imo nicer, Sethrak didn’t make sense for Alliance as well. And I’d love to play as fishguy.

Well said. I’m happy with Void Elf race personally, I would like to have a seperate wing transmog option though, wings should be seperated from chest imo.
Dark Iron is the only race that I don’t complain about, at least they have some real distinctive features but still they are dwarf after all, their audience is limited and this race roughly has no female gender.
The word “new” doesn’t always equate to good or cool. New things can turn out to be a fiasco, Kul’Tiran human can still be used for a good cause by adding skinny option to them but first Blizz gonna have to create a skinny Kul’tiran female model for that, we have only male.
Greatest fiasco of all times, no need to discuss alot of things related to them. Just ignore them…
The numbers between faction player counts will differ alot more within the next expansion, it will come to 30% Alliance / 70% Horde considering the route Blizzard has been taking. People-Guilds already started to move Horde for the next expansion in order to make preparations and recruit new members on Horde side. Only solution is giving Alliance the upperhand via racial advantages, these advantages won’t be enough if they are like 0.3% etc, it must be 3.5-4% at least. Or else Alliance side will consist of only roleplayers soon enough.
Nothing serious but it’s still fun to see how the community pokes at the Alliance and/or the developers:
