I’m just saying, nobody on Horde actually asked for Nightborne, so I’m not sure where this idea comes from that Horde asked for and Horde got.
Nobody asked for them. Same way that nobody asked for HM Tauren either. Why? Because they were neutral and nobody thought they would pick a side.
So don’t look at this like Horde getting things they asked for, nobody on either faction asked for them! I mean they make sense, sure, HMT for the same reason as LFD (To be with their parent race) but nobody specifically requested them, yet weirdly this argument that “The Horde got what it asked for and the Alliance didn’t” argument keeps cropping up when it just isn’t true.
Here’s another newsflash, as much as they do fit thematically and lorewise, no one thought we were getting Vulpera either, until they were announced, so ‘Horde’ hadn’t been asking for them!

What a joke there was a Vulpera Discord server and A thread for Vulpera people were asking for them and The alliance did not wanted Mechagnomes so yeaa…
You don’t care do you? You don’t care about facts and logic, if it does not fit your narrative that there is Horde Bias, you will comfortably ignore actual evidence.
Nobody wants Mechagnomes? Quite a few posters have chosen to die on that hill, disproven by people posting on their Mechagnomes who are actually quite happy with their race. Its the same as people saying nobody wants Void Elves and they should change the very name of the race to High Elves. It just isn’t true. Yes, Void Elves were a bit out of the blue, but some people do really like them, and are happy with them.
I’m actually looking forwards to making my Mechagnome, the only reason I don’t have him already is because I refuse to tie my advancement in the game behind others with the attention span of a mayfly. I will wait for the requirements to be removed in SL rather than be shackled to some party of “Go-go-go” yahoo’s who just want to blitz Dungeons.
But I will make one, Oh yes, I definitely will.
You do not speak for everyone, people it seems do like Mechagnomes, and I can see why.
Yeah, although they were in the beginning due the “sick” druid forms they had. Most people dislike the female body proportions though.
You seem to be a bit confused here. I’m not talking about the customization but making them playable in general. And we better don’t forget that the Mag’har Orcs were released with the new improved Orc-back as well.
Let me say it like this then. The problem with mechagnomes is there would be like almost no one who wants them I am not saying there are people who would not play them and I am not happy for them but Most people wanted something different and between the horde alliance got the short end of the stick
There are almost as many MGs, they’re a hundred or so short, which speaks volumes given they have 1) much more difficult unlocks and 2) haven’t been out as long. It suggests that MGs will surpass HMT by SL/post the reputation requirements. They may even surpass MHO we’ll have to see.
I have many faces but i’m focusing on some NB for the time being given many of my contacts in WoW are hordeside atm.
MGs suit any class, depends whether you want potential to tank or heal as well.
If both, monk obviously
If only tank, i’d say go DK, DK is fun
If only heal, try priest
if neither personally I find Hunter and Mage the most fun DPS classes.
Yeah, the unlocks are why I am hanging fire, plus I already have like four Alts to level. I totally have my MG sorted as an RP character, like absolutely 100% know what class, spec, how I will play them. I’m kind of glad that I have to wait till Shadowlands comes out to roll him, as it will be like getting a new player race with the Expansion, even if they are already playable.
I don’t like Blizzard gating stuff behind group content. Not because I don’t get that “Its an MMORPG hurr hurr” but because frankly I like being able to earn things for myself.
Gating allied races behind dungeons is just madness. “No, you the individual cannot gain this race alone, you must trust to the capriciousness of others who may or may not have the patience to aid you, your own efforts are not enough!”
Given that I actually have seen (and been) kicked from Dungeons before the first mobs have been engaged on the reason of “From an RP realm” I am very sceptical of gating my game progress behind Dragon Punchers and Jumping Monkeys.
Yeah i’ve had the bottom issue before “Lol you’re from AD” a few times as well, just took to finding relevant communities in game and making friends. I’m not the most avid group-content player due to timing restrictions but I do like to step inside a mythic+ when the mood suits though I don’t pursue keys as aggressively as I once did.
Mecha was a bit of an odd one, probably because it was Gnomes. I ran it incessantly when it first came out and was the first within my community to put together a hard mode run.
Kinda clever to leave them till SL though for that new level + new race experience, smart move. I’m leaving the Vulpera HA for that purpose (it’s the only one I lack).
