I’m working night shift so am missing out on the Dark Portal opening up 
, how are things working out so far ? 
Flawless, zero DC’s or restarts. Blizz did well with this one

everyone in blood furnace mirage raceay froze for like 5 min and dcd. trying to log in on my char that’s already online apparently.

Really impressed, 1 huge lag spike that wiped us right at start. Then 3 hours of no probs at all.

We were with 150 - 200 or so hordies in the crater waiting, killing mobs, and I was chatting with a guy I actually met during og tbc.
Then 10 mins before portal opens an alliance army shows up on the edge of the crater behind us, about 100 people strong.
While everyone was distracted looking at the portal and mob spawns they charged us en masse and a giant battle ensued.
The horde got driven back to the portal a bit, but were eventually in too great a numbers so the alliance got wiped out, scattered and fled.
When the portal opened and hordies started rushing in the alliance charged in again to clean up the stranglers and slow or afk hordies.
I ran in the portal, went on a flightpath train to thrallmar where I set my hs and bought food and drinks.
While everyone went to ramparts or starting quests I veered towards honor hold, dodging alliance, past them and into terokkar forest to grab the shattrath flightpath.
I then went into zangarmarsh, captured both towers and planted our banner so we had the damage buff and a bigger chance to dominate the zone on launch night.
I did two quests solo in zangarmarsh, then walked back to hellfire, grabbing the second flightpath and meeting up with two rogues to do a group quest in the valley with all the ravagers and tunnelers.
We BARELY made it as the guy was a 63 elite, turned in the quest and walked back to thrallmar where the biggest part of the crowd of players had moved on to later quests or dungeons.
I did the first 5 or so quests, which was terifying with the insane respawn rates, and watched the felreaver clobber some fools not paying attention.
I turned in the quests, went to org, threw some junk on the ah, made french fries and now off to bed.
I can’t freakin wait until tomorrow. God help me.

Some lag at the start but no problems after that.

Blasted Lands literally froze on my server, got disconnected and I couldn’t log in with my characters which were in BL. Not so great had to wait like 45 min but after that was cool.

Sarcasm? I have had massive lagspikes, servers crashing etc.
Launch went quite well! Blasted Lands were laggy and the phasing was obvious (even on Hydrax), but no crashes were experienced and I didn’t wait in queue.
I had logged Kedros off behind the camps in front of the portal so when I logged him a bit after midnight (I first logged before twelve to finish a quest on my paladin) I was happy to see a couple hundred (maybe more) people chilling in the area and killing demons.
I then went to Swamp of Sorrows to wait for my guild, a number of them did a “march to the Portal” event. I bumped into some other guildies and we waited in formation on either side of the path to the Blasted Lands, having some IC (and some OOC) banter. LFG chat was buzzing with excitement, and a lot of heartfelt comments and love about our server community <3
When the guild march arrived our guild leader was surprised and delighted to see us waiting for them, as we had not planned our little welcome! So we joined up and RP walked into the Blasted lands. Unfortunately phasing hit us and we were cut off from a number of guildies, but there were still enough of us, and even some Alliance joined us in our slow march. We arrived just in time to see the first people rushing through - so we all charged in.
HFP was full of players running around and questing. After I got to Thrallmar I set my hearth, got my Master training in my professions and did a couple of quests before logging (as I’m working today).
I’ll play more this afternoon after work - and maybe a quarter of an hour or so during my break
