So, how did Devos manage to ascend Uther?

In the Kyrian storyline, you’re shown that in order for an aspirant to ascend (i.e. for a smurf to get his wings), they need to be stood on the crest of ascension within the Kyrian sanctum.
And this isn’t just for ceremony either, since the majority of the Kyrian storyline is based around rebuilding the crest after it gets destroyed. One of the dark smurfs even states that without the crest, the Kyrian can’t create any more ascended and will eventually run out of forces as a result.

The point is, how the heck was Devos able to ascend Uther on her own?

I see you’ve fallen into the same trap many of us have found ourselves in at one point or another… Looking too closely at details in WoWs story.

Fact is sometimes they just do/say something because it’s “cool” regardless if it makes any sense within the lore or game mechanics

You could look at it more as they both descended, and she dragged Uther down from an “angel” to a demon. Perks: Wings. Cons: 15 year old goth girls wardrobe.

At least that’s how I see it.

But yeah like Palivar says sometimes it’s best to just not look into the fine details.
For example how exactly does Necromancy even work now? Or the “souls” Frostmourne was supposed to collect but in reality it… didn’t really…

Well since Davos is forsworn ( or w/e are they called) leader, and she allied with jailer, and also uther himself send arthas into maw, isnt there posibility that jailer or someone strong in maw gave uther “power”, and made him ascend?

I believe the paragons can ascend aspirants at their temples. The crest is simply the only safe one left to use until later on in the story where you empower it, to create even stronger soldiers than before

Devos and Jailer weren’t working together back then, she later joined him to take over the Archon.

That’s how it seems at least…
