So how tall are Kul Tirans?

Having looked on the PTR, even a Night Elf is shorter than a Kul Tiran.

Are there any sources on height for races, or is it all speculated and guess work?

Around Seven.

AFAIK, nothing is confirmed but it is suggested they are 6.8ft.

Wouldn’t that make nelves like 6’4-6’6?

Huh, i thought they’d be taller. So the consensus is the high end of 6’x-7’.

Feels like a waste of a forum post, but alas. I have no other means of asking these questions.

We don’t know, but keep in mind models are not accurate to lore heights. Tauren for example are significantly larger in the lore than in the game.

The Kul Tiran model is simply intended to be a variation on the human model. They are still the same species.

Taller than you.

Indeed. Also pandaren models are smaller in game then they are supposedly in lore. I believe pandaren males average around just under seven foot if I recall correctly? They’re certainly taller than humans and orcs. Yet in game this is not clear at all.

Panda males average 7’6", 7’ for females. That said yes, they are taller than humans and about 6" taller than orcs.

And male orcs (hunched) average out at 7’2. 6’6 for females.

Did he specify hunched?

It was written by the time when Thrall was the only straight backed orc, so fair to say he meant hunched.

Stop the presses, fellas, he’s only gone and done it! hands over the presteigous Captain Obvious award

Your input is invaluable to this community. Thankyou so very much for sharing your wisdom with us all. I really appreciate it.

I know the ingame models aren’t a 1:1 in terms of their height, I would at least assume they’re good for a basis at the least.

I mean lore. The addition of the straight back model had no lore effects AFAIK.

It didn’t affect things in lore, but given at that point in time we hadn’t seen straight backed orcs besides Thrall’s Cataclysm model, it’s fair to say he meant the average orc as presented to us by the time since we asked for racial averages.

It’s only with WoD and onwards we started to see straight backed orcs are more than just an anomaly like Thrall, who by the time was described as being the way he is due to his human upbringing, eyebrows and all (???).

So safe to say Loreology meant hunched orcs.

In WC3 all orcs other than peons were straight backed. It’s not a new concept to their lore.

I still think its nonsense to make Kul’Tirans this ridiculious large.

I mean, According to Blizzards lore; hunting big underwater monsters makes a Human freakishly long and fat??? Because Blizzard never confirmed the current Kul Tirans are either descendants of Drusts, nor Vrykul… Making them 100% Human freaks.

Flip off with these freaks. Its BS and they should’ve just added normal sized fat and thin Humans to Stormwind Humans and go with a actual “Allied Race” people wanted instead of Human customisation options. :I

Their size objectively is always: bigger than you.

Thousand

Equally tall as a draenei.

Every human is a vrykul descendant.

It’s literally where the human species as a whole came from.

They are probably larger-than-others because of their lifestyle, which they’ve had for over 2000 years.

It didn’t freaking happen over night…

I gotta agree with Mordi on this, there’s no reason for Kul Tirans to be this big… So what they hunt kraken and other (sea) monsters, the humans from other kingdoms fought dragons, demons, orcs and other big, dangerous monsters and they didn’t grow into freakishly large humans either.
