So how Vault of The War Within is treating you all?

I am a fan of WoW, i love wow, i have played 19years with some breaks. When i could i would raid as best as possible without jumping 20 guilds to achieve my purpose. I have made so many friends here that wow is in my heart and will be forever.

Now…i am a person that likes to identify patterns, at some point i had the impression that the game has a hidden stat, lets name it “luck”, that would affect a bit your loot results. But ok that was when i was deeply immersed in wow and wow had my full attention, i am taking my reality pills nowdays, possibly “Luck” stat doesnt exist in wow :stuck_out_tongue: but something is …there …rigged or not…,…
I realised, since vault appeared in wow, that the more you do one specific dungeon the more chances you might have to see items from that dungeon in the Vault next week… For example farming Ruby life Pools for a weapon, doing 20+ runs on high m+ for mythic gear level, gave me the weapon finally in the game but it appeared also in vault next week…which was very annoying considering i was 2 months with mediocre weapons (i dont raid anymore!). You must have had this impression too in Dragonflight right?

Now to The War Within Vault of the Punished.

Say you are not raiding, you are officially out of mythic gear until you start playing 10+ mythic dungeons…
What wow and the system never informs you is that ofc your item list is way more limited because you dont raid at all, meaning access to items that drop only in raid, wont ever appear in your vault (makes sense a bit. .ok …for the people who also raid)…
What however is very very very annoying and UNFAIR is that the loot options are at least weird.

  1. What is the point of “Creating loot for enhancement specialization” when the items appeared are not even close as being useful for enhancement? Critical and Versatility in all 3 items of the vault from the mythic dungeon list. non-set Gloves and chests that will never be used and so on…
  2. Why do we never get weapons from the Vault 3 months now? I havent seen a single weapon , only perhaps in Delveslist…(but doesnt matter there, you get weapons often from the bountiful delves chests with keys)
  3. Why do you punish us for playing less? A big % of your customers are ex-raiders who are older now and just dont have 2 or 3 segments of continuous pc/gaming time to raid per week. For some it is almost as difficult to play mythic+ in all year around…Ask me, having 2 kids only by myself and 1.5 job, how rare is to get some mythic+ non-interruptible time per week…

I get it that mythic raiders (i did the same ) have the advantage, they play all day, they get gear from the raids, they push the mythic+ keys easier, they get higher gear from keys then they push the raids easier…They perhaps invest more time… fair enough…

Why though , except from getting the “racism” of ilvl which is not fair (as i said raid ppl have more gear faster ) but we also get the “complete random” “creation of loot for myspec” treatment of vault…

Vault was created to give a good chance for unlucky players to get loot from the tears and swet of the week…How does that translate to bad loot, unoptimized, and DEFINITLY RIGGED to have no weapons or Best in Slot ffrom the content we play?

So why should i keep getting crap items in the vault? Is it your idea of punishing us and perhaps by reverse psychology make us play more or pay more? That is not gonna happen to customers like me who are 35+ and know how things work.

PS Are there any addons or websites that track vault loot statistics? I would love to print here some numbers and see how close to reality i am…

It means you’re not getting, say, healer trinkets. It doesn’t mean the vault subscribes to your latest SimCraft stat weights.

Maybe it just looks like you are not getting weapons? If you are focusing on specific slot, you can observe the same with them.

Nobody is punishing you for anything. You get additional chance at Great Vault the more content you have completed.

You can do 1 M+ and 2 Delves for two slots, which is far less effort than ever before.

Too bad as a tank and healer you still get DPS trinkets, the majority of which are literally about 30% weaker (nerfed) for those specs.

Absence of reward isn’t a punishment. I mean what the actual hell. If you don’t log into a game and therefore don’t earn a reward thats not punishment.

How do people even function in day to day life with logic like this.

(A) Its not rigged. Its RNG.
(B) The vault was, and still is, “emotional support”. Its not a legit way of gearing. Its not “bad luck protection”… none of that.

What needs to happen is that if none of the loot in the vault satisfies you, then the 6 tokens that they give in the end (assuming you filled 1 row) should buy you a single tier upgrade of an item.

So 8 +10s == 1 upgrade from Hero to Myth track. The same for lower tiers.
