do you actually lose the achievements when you delete a character? I thought its all hanging onto your account?
So lets say I get the onyxia mount with my dwarf paladin, I delete the dwarf paladin, does this mean my main Orc warrior now doesn’t have the ony mount anymore?
Certain things cannot be obtained anymore such as the pandaria cape, i think i had an argent dawn commision and rune of the dawn lying around too for example.
So you deleted your stuff and post about it here. Why would you do that? I mean, just delete and be gone if you feel this way. Flex deleting means you’ll just restore it in a few days/ weeks.
You just wasted 15 years of your life then, so congrats I guess? Not really.
and what exactly would I be restoring them to? Realms devoid of guilds, to have negative statements like yours directed at them? or failing that, just more non-character related power for the forseeable future?
Since you made this statement then you surely know what i would be restoring them back to right?
People do the weirdest things for the weirdest reasons. From here it looks like you want attention.
I came back to the game two years ago, have had a blast in BfA being part of the best guild ever, and am looking forward to SL with the same people, just more of us.
Can I have some gold?
I don’t care, I just know I’d never delete my sjeet. I have the TGC mounts etc.
If you don’t like it, retire for a while: you’ll come back. I have had an 8 year break (uni; married; kids) and am now playing again.
You will be restoring them. Why? Because instead of just deleting the characters and leaving, you came here in hopes we turn your head on this thing. You wanted your “wow is not fun for me now” post to stand up between other ones, so you deleted (or at least say you did) character to make it look more dramatic.
My advice? Press that restore character button there under your character list and restore your characters. They are all there one button press away. Then leave. Your characters will be waiting for you when you feel like playing wow again. Which you will, because you are still here.
sounds like a good way to stop playing permanently. Because the main reason i come back to wow instead of starting another mmorpg is the huge amount of time i invested into this game. It feels like a waste to throw away
If the OP was serious they would ask Blizzard to delete the account. just another WoW sucks post. Op will be back.
Honestly I don’t see a reason to delete characters.
Just leave the game when not satisfied. I did that back in Cata, only came back in Legion with all characters still there. When I left I had no plans of coming back ever but I still didn’t see a point in wiping everything I had.
i mean he might still use his blizz account for games other than wow.
But yeah i rarely ever believe these "i quit"attention grabbing posts
If I don’t like a game. I just stop playing it?
Deleting your progress pretty much proves nothing to anyone. So if you don’t like the game for whatever reason
Just.
Leave.
It.
You want my opinion? It seems a bit dramatic to delete all your characters and then make a thread on the wow forums saying you did so. I would have either just made a forum post expressing my concerns or just logged out of wow and not look back for the most forseeable furture, maybe check in if the next expansion is already out and see if it’s good or not.
Pointless to delete. Even if you quit forever, having the characters exist in a virtual database doesn’t do any harm.
“I don’t like the new road side decorations, so I burned down my car!” is all I’m seeing here.
It means nothing unless you write to them and ask them to close it down.
My partner flushed his authenticator and all kinds to quit… in the end he gave his pc away
I didn’t like what Blizz was doing so I punched myself in the face repeatedly to protest it.
Well played OP.
You are free! Run! Never look back…
