big paladin indeed

On my Prot Warrior I had my shield break in a low BH before the first boss. I didn’t notice until after I pulled the third boss. I was getting absolutely obliterated every pack (which I did notice) and no one said anything.

how do you have no clue?
His HP is probably below 400k and every hit he took from anything either kills him or brings him low immediately.
You would notice that even when the small raptors jump but latest at volkal or priestess.

He didnt die before yazma. And i am not clicking on everyone to check their health. After the run i understood he got 1 shot by soulrend twice. The dungeon went so fast i didn’t had any reason to check on people. Only thing that happened was the lock pulled the mid pack with his pets. So we went overcount. But whatever.

Back in BFA when me and my mate played to somewhat a decent level, top 1k rogues world, nothing crazy but good. Warrior friend the same rating bar a couple of points dif here and there… he runs in to a pack, ‘I CANT DO ANYTHING’ proceeds to die, I die, we all did. His shield was broken  I respect that

During BFA i had a friend who found out after a freehold M+ run he didn’t had a head piece equipped because apparently he had made a selfie somewhere before the dungeon :joy:

Perfect! Brilliant memes. I once played a big chunk of a season in SL as WW monk using intellect weapons lol, was catching up on everything conduits wise and gear so rushed and got the wrong items (honour luckily). Think we hit 1800 before I noticed and wondered why sometimes it was a struggle to play!! Also have an Enhance friend who used int weapons for ages and wondered why his damage was awful

When I spam ran random bg’s years back, I’d regularly fish while waiting for the queue to pop. The amount of times I’d wonder what the heck was going on with my heals being weak, or someone mid bg would say “Nice fishing pole mate!”… well, I can count it on more than two hands

I remember back in the days of gearscore and you’d have to repeatedly say don’t kick me I’m fishing, my weapon isn’t equipped

I also remember back in BfA our first Mythic Zul kill the top dps was a rogue with intellect daggers equipped

We still refer to him as the smartest rogue.

Rogues used to be so OP in game it’s unbelieveable.

I remember in Dragon soul when I was raid leading. I confronted our rogue who was top dps about his rotation. He wasn’t using rupture at all even though it was a dps increase and he hit me with “I don’t rupture as I’m top dps without doing it” he just wanted to spam SS 5x then evi. He couldn’t wrap his head around why I was annoyed even though he was top dps.

Never known a class to leave out a main spell and still top damage before.

The timeless isle trinket that teleports you there always gets me.

Remember back when Shadowlands was about to come out and the entire casual community was freaking out that if covenants and conduits are swappable, everyone is gonna expect them to keep swapping?

Yeah, this is just proof nobody cares what you play. 90% of the time nobody will ever bother inspecting anyone, let alone investigate their build. But nobody believed us…

This topic does not mean in shadowlands people did not get kicked for playing the wrong covenant. I got quite some questions when i was Kyrian holy paladin instead of venthyr (and in my oppinion kyrian is still the better choice for pugs, but whatever…). Things certainly have happened during SL.

Hence “90% of the time”. Obviously someone somewhere will always inspect, but most won’t. The amount of times I played with the wrong soulbind, wrong covenant, or a completely wrong build, and nobody noticed, is much higher than the times someone did. Hell just last season when I tanked keys on bear, I raided as boomie and kept going into raid wearing an agility staff, but never got called out.

I’m a massive alt person. I have 197 characters on my bnet account in retail. I have every spec in the game as I have so many characters. I tend to always have characters the same spec even if it’s terrible. The characters aren’t normally even geared, I just do world quests or random stuff on them.

Anyway I remember in Legion I was sitting in Surumar on my Survival Hunter and some guy started shouted and swearing at me in caps. He called me the R word, my reply “???” Him: “you’re such an idiot playing survival hunter, go delete the game” stuff along the lines of this. I was doing world quests… anyway he proceded to whisper me for like 10 mins. I just spent the entire time confused and laughing my head off. You do really get some unhinged people about not playing the Meta.

That’s genuinely hilarious, but still, it rarely ever happens. I participate in a pretty wide range of M+ and raiding, and I don’t remember the last time I was called out for playing anything “wrong”, even if it genuinely was wrong.

In those circumstances there’s nothing left to do but laugh it off and move on.
