So I've unlocked Mag'har and Zandalari

…and I can’t pick between them. So I’m going to give some personal pro/con points for them and prospective classes, and please help me decide.

Race

Mag’har
Pros

  • Brown orcs, and I like Blackrock

  • Nice heritage

Cons

  • Hair looks kinda dumb

  • Just an orc, though aren’t they?

Zandalari
Pros

  • posture looks so intimidating and cool

  • nice appearance with dark skin

  • female has awesome haurcut

  • ZANDALAR FOREDDA!!!

Cons

  • Tusks come out at weird angles

  • wish no piercings was an option

Class

Hunter
Pros

  • my most experienced class: know what to do.

  • most mail looks epic

Cons

  • already got like 5 hunters

Paladin (for zandalar)

  • look awesome

  • nice abilities

  • hybrid class, so I can fail at 3 roles with 1 char

Cons

  • I don’t have many plate mogs

  • seem like a “Jack of all trades, master of none” class

Warrior (for Mag’har)
Pros

  • BLOODTHIRSTY ANGRY DUUUUUUDE

  • the class Mag’har were made for, really

  • fun to play

Cons

  • little generic

Druid (Zandalari)
Pros

  • My first class: nostalgia wave!

  • oh so versatile

  • ZANDALAR FOREDDA!

Cons

  • forms look a little daft, particularly moonkin, which I intend to spec.

  • get quite dull after a while imo.

So yeah, that’s my thoughts and options. Can someone please give me some advice?

Make a Worgen Hunter, and you will get 0 issue and you will always be at best :smile:

Well, there seems to be more pros about playing a zandalari than a mag’har.

Especially since they both have 2 cons each.

I’d do either hunter or paladin since you got to put up with the forms of a druid and you don’t seem to really like them.

EDIT: if you have 5 hunters and don’t want another (not a problem i have except for the fact finding a mog for them can be… trying) then I’d go with paladin.

As much as I don’t like the Horde, I would suggest you go mag’har. They are somehat iconic and rooted in history, whereas trolls and espec Zandalari trolls are more of sidekicks. And Zandalar, on top of everything, look just disgusting with those skin abominations, looking like a disease.

But again, Im a spacegoat from Soviet Union. What do I know…

Edit: in addition.

Let me put it this way. From Alliance standpoint, I’d have some respect for original orcs. As for zandalari, I very little empathy for the race that descent from cannibals and such.

Haven’t unlocked yet. But a female is getting made, and it will be a rogue or hunter.

And just for the 40k I will seriously consider worgen.

I wouldn’t go for Mag’har Orcs.
Simple because their racials are not that great compared to Zandalari.

I love Hunters also.
I have this one and a BE one (wanted a Elf Archer in vanilla).

I would go for paladin because they have some pretty good looking sets and I play one as well.
Because they can tank, heal and DPS.

I don’t like Druids.
Trying to level one and it’s taking ages, because it’s just one thing I decided to do not a thing I am thrilled to do. :frowning_face:

The only thing I can advise for the Mag’har Orcs is the warrior class.
Garrosh Hellscream, enough said.
I have two warriors a Orc and a BE.
They are really fun to play.

Tbh, im tempted to do both. Got too many alts I don’t use so could do some spring cleaning.

I can understand that.
Heck I am stuck with 10 characters I can’t make my mind up, which one to let go and stick to four characters, only (plate, mail, leather and cloth).

I am currently playing my BE Hunter on Legion to unlock the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren.
I played her through out Legion expansion, when it was current.

My BE paladin is trying to get exalted with the Zandalari and Mag’har Orcs.
She can shield and HS out in case I do a mistake while doing my war campaign (PVP flag).

But I don’t want to leave my warrior’s behind.
They are just too fun to play and I feel a lot more confidence when tanking with them, which doesn’t happen with my monk, paladin and DH.:frowning_face:

Play both.
Only than you might have a better feeling.

I have to admit, the Zandalari models do look pretty sweet. They also have the better racials imho, even though Embrace of the Loa passives aren’t that strong.
Also yeah, the Mag’har heritage armor is really nice, and you get 3 variants for the price of 1.

I used the Glyph of Stars on my Zandalari balance druid (https://www.wowhead.com/item=44922/glyph-of-stars), so I don’t look like a horrifying monster that jumps out of children’s closets.

If you plan on going shirtless like a boss, then I’d recommend Mag’har Orc.

On personal note, I will only add that at some point Zandalari male hunter may very much remind you Night Elf male if you’re ok with that :stuck_out_tongue:

zandalari racials are also terrible actually so :}

the heal is only good on pala though if you bubble racials, so at least there is that
