So, LFR is just a collosal waste of time now

Sorry, starting the year with some negativity (luckily thats a rare thing here)

I have always done lfr for the mogs and the story. Gear upgrades in lfr are pretty much non existent since wqs reward better gear.

Each xpac lfr became harder and harder. Sure, you dont have to throw gear at us, but were getting better gear with less effort with wqs! People in lfr dont want tough fights and sneaky mechanics. If they did, they would be doing normal. Second wing of the df raid is a wipe fest. A single wing takes 1.5 hours. Were progressing lfr now? To top it all off, youre rewarded with jack sh*t thanks to group loot.

Tldr
Lfr has become unnecessarily hard
Group loot ruins mog runs

Drops are cosmetics for 75% of the people doing it. Stop ruining it be increasing difficulty each xpac

The earliest LFR in cata was harder than normal today. In MoP it was roughly equal and by today it’s a tourist mode where boss abilities are only for show.

IMO it’s less annoying than it was in earlier expansions, there are even rescue-mechanics in there for the multiple “Knocked off a platform” 1-shot mechanics, i agree about the loot though.

LFR is not hard, it is only that too many people leave their brain outside when entering.
One can do better than that even when going in a raid blind.

It cannot be so hard to get the lightning Debuff on the council fight and decide to avoid passing it to others after checking the tooltip. Especially after 2+ years of lessons about social distancing.

I was healing in an LFR raid on that fight last week and saw like half the raid being debuffed by this thing because some melees ignored it and kept passing it around like a chain reaction.
Yet we still killed the boss in spite of all of that.
How can anyone claim this is hard content?

I don’t think it’s that hard, certainly not harder then some older raids.
So far I’ve only had a few wipes unlike previous raids where you would have multiple wipes then half the raid leaves!

As for gear it’s best not to go into it looking for gear drops IMO. I mean it’s nice when it happens but I’m only there to tick the bosses off my list for my Vault reward.

At this point I’d have to make a whole new crap geared alt just to get a chance at gear in there and thats just ridiculous. Sure I could take my chances and hope to win with a greed but the likelyhood of that happening I might as well not even bother.

I don’t agree it’s too hard. I remember wiping on LFR in Siege of Orgrimmar as well. If anything it’s easier than some of the bosses.

That being said yes, the item level is too low compared to easier sources in the game like wqs as you mention.

Wasnt LFR put into the game with excuse that its for peopel what want to see raid? If people need relevant rewards from lfr in order to do lfr then this content have clearly no purpoee in the game and should be removed.

Extremely easy LFR. The only harder one is spider boss where you need more coordination which is good because the rest are intuitive. And that comes from a guy who is generally slow to react on a swirl on the ground.

LFR is barely for loot. You do it for vault. Gear you get from lower m+.

It used to be that with a good group normal would be easier than lfr - no idea if that’s still the case.

“Seeing the raid” (Or storyline) just gets people to do something once, loot keeps them coming back. (How often would mythic guilds full-clear raids if not for loot?)

The reason for implementing LfR was to have more people using the raids, because the bean-counters rightfully pointed out that content only 5% of people ever played when current wasn’t worth the amount of resources poured into it.

LFR is just in the game for transmog to me :stuck_out_tongue:

Lfr for me is content where i get the chance to experience the story of the game and maybe get a gear piece or two but seeing how it gives poop gear i guess it’s only for the story.

Since i can’t do normal it’s more difficult and my new guild doesn’t raid atm so stuck doing LFR.

M+ isn’t for me i never liked it the fact that it’s timed and i have to act super fast tilts me and my brain thinks slow xD.

LFR is the worst thing ever added to WoW. Even the lead designer who put it in the game said when asked that it was his number 1 regret of all the many things he did. It is terrible. I remember when they added it back in cata thinking ‘‘What the hell are they thinking adding this?’’’ sadly even though the penny dropped and the actual makers of it realised how awful it is, it was by then too late to go back.

I mean they could be brave and remove it now/next expansion but they would have an awful lot of whining to have to deal with, even though the game would be leagues better in the long run.

They should start off by reducing the players to 10 man.

Easier to keep track off who does what then in a pug.

The reason the raids in FFXIV works is because players are instantly put into fixed groups for tank/healer/rest-dps. As well as certain boss mechanics automatically sorting players around.

This sorting is nigh impossible with a LFR group because 1. the groups are a scrambled mess. 2. A random player is given the ability to sort the groups, which often makes it impossible.

I disagree it’s the best thing since sliced bread because it’s perfect for us who cannot commit to a schedule and have limited time throughout a day to play because of work and other life responcibilities.

Gone are the days when i was young and could game all day had no responcibility like others.

ifg you canot comit time you shoulfd just accep fact you wont get to see raids. LFR and other faceroill difficulty levels are all reason why world content is absolote in first placem and why so many players quiting as it completly removed and desire to continue playing after clearing lfr.

This is literaly just your own problem that you prefer doing other things in life than playing game.

LFR is the best. MMO genre is not for basement dwellers anymore. It is more mainstream and going back to dark ages is very counterproductive in light of competition.

You are not forced to do LFR. Pretend it doesn’t exist and do your raids.

I think if someone quits the game it’s their business. Also, if casuals see content and leave its best for those who have nothing to do but plat the game all day long - you don’t have to deal with horrible players that don’t know how to play.

LFR separates peasants from aristocracy. Play normal, heroic, mythic modes of raids. You have three modes there. And leave a tourist mode for lowlifes like me.
