Granted it’s not much of a nerf, it’s a 7.2% reduction to the non-Icicle part of the damage. But why?? We aren’t exactly dominating the meters.
As a side note, I’m playing an IL spec, so it doesn’t really affect me. But, you know, it’s a completely unwarranted nerf to an at-best average spec.
Because Arcane is boring (but crazy powerful) and Fire is a flaming wreck. You don’t nerf an average spec to make the crap specs more appealing, you make the crap specs less crap.

Research on altered time discord say there’s a hidden buff in glacial spike too and overall its a slight buff. Crazy I know but those guys really do there homework.

Paladins get buffed in 8.2, what a heck! Can you provide link of that? I guess Paladins’ crying worked O_o This is one and only class that has already got insane buff and they will receive even more. I really need t see that because I can’t believe.
But if that’s true and this class is already the most OP, for sure in melee range, then we cannot really expect anything sensible from Blizzard anymore. Paladins are supposed to have anti class, like all other classes have but Blizzard have different view on “balance” in the game! Paladins are already everywhere because people know how OP this class is. Soon we will be playing a game called “World of Paladins (+ others)”.

I personally won’t be holding my breath.
I guess a cancel freedom macro is too hard for some paladins to figure out.
